This is like the perfect example of 80s giant robot anime. Children singing background in the music. Purposeless epic transformation sequences. Lasers. Main hero has a giant badass word. Gotta love it

A good series, but it feels less like Transformers than some weird Transformers/Gundam/Power Ranger hyrbid, what with all the upgrades and add-ons...but still a cool intro, MUCH better than Masterforce.

@gundamredframe Yeah, I like the way this looks over head masters, masterforce ect. But, the thing I miss most from the US G1 cartoon was they would fight using their fist and not stand in a static pose while shooting at enemies. I think the perfect Transformer cartoon would be one with fluent animation like Armada's, but G1 or War For Cybetron style models. Also,The remaining G1 cast like Peter Cullen and Frank Welker. Oh and any Beast Wars cast members preferably Scott Mcneil and David Kaye...
