On this night, ECW was taped prior to Superstars.

It started @ 8:00 pm EST. It gave them an hour to edit and syndicate to the network.

I heard they were considering having Savannah fill that position, but Vince wanted to wait till they found someone who was as equally good at singing as announcing. The only bad thing about that is, what if the cities Raw and Smackdown are at aren't close enough to where ECW's at for Tony or Justin to do ring announcing for ecw? You've probably noticed both Eve and Kelly have announced at least one match a piece since Lauren's departure, so maybe one of them is going to get that position.

Annoucing both smackdown and ecw is no problem for tony chimel. ecw is tapped right before smackdown in the same arena

Savannah is *almost* close to securing Lauren's spot now. She's doing really well and can do that "rumble" of the superstars name that justin and tony can do.

I don't know why they just didn't give Savannah that position in the first place. It will be interesting to see what happens after J R comes back. Since Byron Saxton and Josh Matthews came over from FCW as a result of Tazz quiting and J R's attack of bell's palsy will one of them go back when J R returns? I'd personally like to see this happen, J R (play by play) and Matt Striker (color) on Smackdown. Grisham (play by play) and Matthews (color) on ECW and have Saxton be backstage interviewer.

She's an alright singer, but you can tell she really has to try hard to hit the harder notes and she seems to pause a lot whereas a natural singer could belt it out no problem.

You should see her singing the anthem elsewhere here on YT. It was a horrendous rendition of the National Anthem. This was actually ten times better than that version.
