@Winterfairy777 Sorry, Newt was eligible for the draft. The draft ended as I turned 18 and registered. Newt is 10 years older than me thus he was eligible for ten years of the draft. How is it that Ron Paul was drafted while he was married and had 2 kids and Newt claims to have been in-eligible as he was married with one kid? Yes, I think Chicken Hawk fits.

So, in other words, someone filed for the deferments without his knowledge. That is too funny… Unless you were medically unable to be in the military every male had to register for the draft by his 18th birthday. We were then drafted by a birthday lottery with no exceptions unless ‘YOU’ had filed for a deferment.
