People, I'd appreciate some opinions about possible reliability problems with the Street Triple. Mainly timing chain tensioner problems, oil leakage in the head gasket, coolant leakage in the radiator hoses and faulty electronics. Thanks a lot.
Every time I look at this vid I scream, my neighbours ask if you can kindly remove it! I'll buy one soon, already sold old one... no matter I'm gonna be without 2 weels for this season, it's definitely worth the sacrifice!
@odracirseraoseia1999 I've got one. Never had any problems. I've done almost 12000KM in the last two years. The only thing that wore down pretty quick was the rear tire. But that just depends on your driving stile.
@malthus101 yup doing it right bro, did the same thing but with a 250cc learned how to drive it properly, than steped up for a bigger one, I have a white/blue Daytona, and gotta say to you, its the best shit EVER!
"... three cylinders, they make the love" great stuff! wonderful visceral feel from the vid. thank you. makes me slightly regret my new ducati. (although i think this steed would get me locked up)
to me, it looks more like an english asshole trying to speak french. But I guess you are too dumb to realise that it is in fact a british taking the piss out of French ...
Such an amazing bike, i rode with a group of striple riders. Man do they move, the front wheel is guarrenteed to lift, very hard bikes to keep up with in the twisties.
@StefSSU Americans like their beer cold, not luke warm like people in the UK do. lol
The Street Triple is on my list of possible future bikes, the Bonneville was at the number one spot until I found out Triumph has them made in Thailand, which is inexcusible.

I passed my test 3 weeks ago and went out and bought a brand new ST. Very easy bike to ride but needs respect -you gotta realise you got limits and need real experience.I running it in so keeping revs down to 5000 max.Even so it flies away from the lights! My mate (ninja 636r) saw it and wants one!Awesome bike gets loads of attention.Bye the way I just turned 57......
dude, with modern alloys you don't need to run engines in gentlly anymore. ride it like you normally would, and just make sure you change the oil very regularly... at 200, 500, 1000, 1500 miles. if you break it in too gently the piston rings won't seat properly and you risk losing power... amongst other things.
Watch the vid ! I wouldn´t recommend it to choose a > 100 bhp-bike for your first bike... There are less dangerous ones, but the handling of the street triple IS easy - to say amateur-friendly... Your decision, your money, your life !
It´s for sure not a typical beginner-bike - you have to be more carefully, the bike is light and handling is as easy enough to say it´s amateur-friendly... Your decision !
Buy a small bike and get some skills. i can tell you it is very easy to lose control of a bike. Beeing fast is as easy as walking, but how much skill do you have in the corners?
