The sacrificing of voidwalker is the only way he can avoid being interrupted while being pummeled by the pet. So no, it's not staged. Having any other pet actually makes no sense as he can't cast.

Your almost right, I have watched a level 70 geared hunter get his butt handed to him by a level 70 destruction spec lock. He sacraficed the VW and as the pet attacked him he started to instant cast shadowbolts. DoT plus insane ammounts of damage from the shadowbolts could kill a hunter. I have a level 70 hunter for my main, and I can tell you first hand that I do own about 80-90% of locks, but that 10-20% will still kill a hunter every time.
soz but bm hunters can be feared as much as u like... at lvl 50 they are immune to fear for 18 secs if they activate beast within and they also cause more dmg... and lol be4 lvl 50 Bm hunters just need there pet to pwn ... and bestial wrath prevents fear... so it is a good fight and my Bm twink 49 hunter Derenor silvermoon pve usually does not have many problems killing locks... ofc it all depends on the players skill not only the class...

BM Hunter are like Demonology Warlocks in that they require no skill to play. Stand back and send your pet/minion in to fight and that's about it. Maybe a few attacks here and there. Far as i'm concerned, the Hunter fails right there. :P
