Is it just me or did he say "fecking kids" when remarking about them turning his hair gray. He was hilarious. I'm happy we have all these records of him.
I read 'Tis and appreciated it even more than Angela's Ashes. Each is a great book and story of Frank's life. But as young man growing up in the United States I could identify with the struggle to become something. The disillusionment...the longing to find who YOU are. It's a great book and a joy to read. In the rich tradition of the Irish, Frank is a great story teller.

The book was honest. Deeply sad. Hilariously funny. I fell in love with Frank McCourt while reading his book.

I've found, as an amature writer, everything DOES have something that interests you, and everything becomes inspiring, even in a small ways.

this interviewer is a dickhead...he is more interested in hearing his own voice than listening to what frank has to say.

Frank McCourt is a brilliant writer! American children oddly enough can relate to his stories in our own way.
