@SillyWhiteKids he said "good" because that was his plan to end the war in america with the russians. He wanted to detonate the missile in mid air which would destroy that space station on the later cutscene causing an EMP to be released across the skies wiping out all of the electronic warfare (helicopters, guns, etc.), in the hopes that it would give the american army a slight advantage. Price just probably didnt inform the 141 about his plan which made him seem like a traitor or something. :P

The only SLBM-deliverable weapon that can create an EMP is a nuclear warhead.

But even in the pre-mission movie, the layout of the sub said that that the silo's contained MIRV'ed missiles with a total yiel of 16 megatons each.

It's annoying to see ppl paying so little attention to what they're doïng.

Use the predator missle to take out the enemies at the beginning of this part its much easier than trying to do it the way SPAMSHOCK is.

Holy crap...this was hard as hell on veteran. It took me about 25 times to finally get it. It is all about the drones, and clearing a path for your self. I kept wasting a missile on the heli, but the time I finally got it I focused on just blowing up the tankers and trucks. That finally did the trick. Ughhhh.

pattycakes if you listen to the open loading scene conversatiopn before the mision starts he talks to shephard about how to set out an oil fire, by lighting a larger fire next to it to take the oxygen, what happens in the mision is price goes into the sub to launch a rusian nuke at dc to explode it in the atomsphere which would cause an emp to help our guys

Andrew969888--The clue is when Price is talking with Shepherd. He says you need a big bang to blow out the fire. He launches the nuke from the sub but sets it to detonate in the upper atmosphere to set up the EMP that knocks out all the russian comms and helos etc, which in turn helps the US forces to regain control.

no, price isnt the bad guy, he launched the missle to get the missle away from the bad guys and because he knew of the assault on DC and knew that if the warhead had detonated in the upper atmosphere, it wouldnt harm ground troops but only disable all electronic devices, thus halting the assault
