@kalliste23 yeah I think it was just an expression rather than a realistic look at a possible scenario. Those glock guys just don't know what to do with all those bullets in their pistols :-D
I am a old revolver guy, but after firing a 9mm glock for the first time a few years ago, and my experiences since, I have changed my view on the best carry weapon. I installed a Brownells 3 1/2 pound trigger connector on my Glock 19 and the trigger is still crisp but the follow up shots go much faster. Probably not a good option when carrieing loaded, but the trigger rocks at the range.
I wonder if there is a way to modify the Glock in a small way to spring load the magazine? That is one of the only things that I don't like at all about the Glock, that when you hit that mag release, especially if the mags are even slightly dirty, sometimes they just don't drop out. My SIG 229 has a spring loaded magazine setup and it is much easier to reload quickly than my g19.
Form, concentration, trigger control, focus, and reaction time all illustrated very well as usual. A good long shooting sequence. Breath control to be steady that long that fast a sequence of targeting means it also takes stamina to keep focused at that peak level that long. I have always liked my Glock 19 with night sights.
After watching some of your videos last year and moving to Pennsylvania, my Wife and I got our first hand gun, a Glock 19. We then joined a gun club and took an NRA course from a licensed instructor to learn how to handle the gun and do some shooting. It was a blast! My Wife enjoyed it more than she thought. See, now this is a guy who I feel could use a 9mm in self defense with no problems, simply because his aim is so precise he can easily pump enough rounds into an attacker to take them down; no matter how big they are, how determined they are, or how much junk is flowing through their veins. Heh
right now im all; over the place on what my first pistol purchase should be, and i keep coming back to the glock 19, it just seems like a really sweet balance of capacity and size....but then i see the SR9 and SR9c for 150$ less and i question it..... then i see the SR40 for 400$ and my brain explodes.

Glock 19 is my primary CCW gun. I use the Ruger LCP when I can't conceal the G19. Got to admit I really like carrying the LCP over the G19 simply because it is so much easier.
@1039sflem Have you considered the G26? Personally, i use the G19 in winter, and the G26 in summer. Much easier to conceal, and you don't lose that much in terms of capacity.

@blackquiver the difference between 17 and 19 is size, there are many videos out there, but more or less common sense looking at specs on glocks website

Hickok, have you considered doing a video about point shooting? In real life gun fights I think I read the majority of times, close up, it's just point shooting, especially by the criminals.
@cptjack80 you can, just like you can use a .22 for self defense. is it advised,no. if you end up in a situation were you have to use your weapon, you will want something that is going to do massive damage to a would be attacker. a 9mm jus will not do that, it leaves little holes in people, a .45 wil blow chunks out of their internal organs. fact is a vast majority of people who survive gunshot wounds, got shot with a 9mm or smaller.
@BALJIT147 Once again its all about shot placement, you can get shot 9 times with a 45 in the leg and you wouldnt die either.You get hit once in the head with a 22lr and you are dead.
The most important is not what caliber you have but how good of a shot you are.
I think we can all agree on that, training is the key.
Just train a lot with whatever caliber you have (from a .22 to a 44 magnum) and it will be a good SD round for you.
With a good hollow point even a .380 would be a good defense load.
Dont think that its all about caliber size, you can have a powerful 44 magnum and miss your target.In that case it would be a poor round for defense.Plus the bigger the bullet the less rounds you can carry.Its why the 9mm is one of the best choice for SD.
@JoeDurobot first of all if you cant draw on and hit a target repeadedly regardless of caliber. you shouldnt be carrying a gun anyway. someone who cannot handle a firearm shouldnt be carring one, it just makes the situation more dangerous.
You should try reload shooting. One bullet in every mag. shoot, reload, shoot, reload and shoot (and keep doing this untill you have no more mags, 5 shoots recomended for most funn). time it and try to get a perfect 10 on all 3 shoots. This is VERY funn and you save bullets

Hickok, have you considered doing a video about point shooting? In real life gun fights I think I read the majority of times, close up, it's just point shooting, especially by the criminals.

Happy Thanksgiving.
I was looking at the Glock 19 and the Ruger SR9Compact for conceal carry.
I am leaning toward the Ruger as it has some added features that I like. Whichever way I choose, it will be by the slimmest of margins.

@cptjack80 you can, just like you can use a .22 for self defense. is it advised,no. if you end up in a situation were you have to use your weapon, you will want something that is going to do massive damage to a would be attacker. a 9mm jus will not do that, it leaves little holes in people, a .45 wil blow chunks out of their internal organs. fact is a vast majority of people who survive gunshot wounds, got shot with a 9mm or smaller.

@BALJIT147 Once again its all about shot placement, you can get shot 9 times with a 45 in the leg and you wouldnt die either.You get hit once in the head with a 22lr and you are dead.
The most important is not what caliber you have but how good of a shot you are.
I think we can all agree on that, training is the key.
Just train a lot with whatever caliber you have (from a .22 to a 44 magnum) and it will be a good SD round for you.

9mm is a GREAT defense round.
With a good hollow point even a .380 would be a good defense load.
Dont think that its all about caliber size, you can have a powerful 44 magnum and miss your target.In that case it would be a poor round for defense.Plus the bigger the bullet the less rounds you can carry.Its why the 9mm is one of the best choice for SD.
Its all about shot placement.

@JoeDurobot first of all if you cant draw on and hit a target repeadedly regardless of caliber. you shouldnt be carrying a gun anyway. someone who cannot handle a firearm shouldnt be carring one, it just makes the situation more dangerous.

You should try reload shooting. One bullet in every mag. shoot, reload, shoot, reload and shoot (and keep doing this untill you have no more mags, 5 shoots recomended for most funn). time it and try to get a perfect 10 on all 3 shoots. This is VERY funn and you save bullets
