The digital clock - what links an Apollo Module to a Chrysler. Plus they're both welded together in one piece. I think the Russians were sticking with the perimeter frame at that point.
That last line... 'who wants to keep a car for 500,000 miles?' is delivered with such dead pan humor... it's awesome. At first I was wondering if Chrysler was comparing themselves to NASA.
Chrysler actually engineered and built the Saturn V rocket that took the astronauts to the moon. Back in the 60's Chrysler Corporation was one of the best engineering companies in the world. But sadly it fell prey to terrible management and is lucky to even be alive today.
My folks bought one of these new in the summer of 73, during the first "gas crunch"; sticker price, loaded, was around $9000 - they got it for $4000. They almost couldn't give 'em away back then! It was a great car, the 2nd one I ever drove; had plenty of power; averaged 11 to 15 miles per gallon. Oh, and the digital clock? It was merely numbers printed on revolving drums, like the clock radios had at the time. Wish I could get my hands on one again - I really loved it!

Many taxicab companies got nearly that kind of mileage out of Chrysler's "Slant Six" engine.
Getting 300,000-400,000 miles out of that incredible engine wasn't a rare thing!
My daily driver is a '92 Cherokee (a Chrysler product) which has nearly a quarter million miles.
