  • @Kaknelson posting on youtube.. I think that makes you one of us. Or are you the righteous one? "judge not"

  • sinead this is by far your greates album!!!!!jah rastafari for ever!!!

  • Чудная песня, именно в исполнении Шинед она очень класно звучит. Я как-нибудь сыграю эту песенку со своей группой.

  • "A true rastaman

    Always humble" _ true orthodoxy_

  • burn down Rome

  • bon choix bea j'ai bocou de cd de sinèad cool!!!!!

  • sineadu r the best,i love u,ur vision is so clear crushing the obstacles in ur way

  • This Upsetter version is one of my favorite Roots songs, so heavy! that power shines through this verion. Some comment her patois is not perfect, but how much inspiration has that little island spread. It inspires me to read Obidiah, a little book in the Bible. it can almost be read during the length of this song.

  • nigga wtf?! lmao

  • Cool!

  • I love this cd as well as this version of this song! just cant sit still listening.

  • super , love Jah

  • I tried to catch a vampire once...BIG mistake!

  • Zonkus, I believe the lyrics are "InI" not "I am nigh"

    JAH bless

  • Oh Edward you are sooo srewed ^^

  • I clicked on this to see if it was real. Way to go, Sinhead! Pronounce those Rs! Firrrrrre! Vampirrrrrre! GREAT!

  • o my Lord, why did she do this. I am charmed that she loves our culture, but this is awful. Especially how she tries to use patois.

  • @ninjaguy3 what is patois?

seriously curious, I mainly listen to uhmm the polar oposite of this kind of music.

  • patois is our (Jamaican) native dialect spoken alongside Standard English. It is a mixture of African words with English words

  • rastafari sinead ^_^

  • yeah sinead a real rasta fan...yay!!!!

  • @prettykiray Not just a rasta "fan", apparently she actually became a Rastafarian prior to recording this album.

  • @britneybritanaca you dont jus become a rasta prior to doin summit...maybe one day you jus realise that the way you live is summit like rasta, you dont convert. bless sinead if she talking true from her heart and she not just faddin it.

  • Great song

and the whole album is just awesome!

  • Big Sinead fan! Kind of an eerie scary song, some movie producer should cough up some money and put this song in a vampire movie.

  • This song is wicked!!...should listen to the original, even better. Devon Irons

  • I love you SInead

  • This is magic o.O

  • Ear-spirutual-omigod-gasm

  • this is amazing !!! I`ve always loved Sineads voice and I do luv Leee Perry too ... what a result :)))

  • I love this album! Sinead does good Reggae! What a deeply spiritual woman! What a voice!

  • I prefer Westlife

  • @KamilMuzyka you're outta your fucking mind

  • Tell 'dem Sinead.

  • The song grows on you, Nice job...

  • NICE SONG...

  • I like this, nice rhythm :) sinead forever

  • This is one of the best musically produced albums I've heard in a long time.

  • go to record shop soon , buy anything , listen it , and you'll most likely hear something better produced (for example any of the original she covers)....just a tip fe you...

  • Throw down your arms is the only Sinead CD that I own. Awesome. She pays a great tribute to reggae. How ever I would like to hear the original version of vampire, but I haven't had an luck finding it.

  • lee perry-ketch vampire

  • i have the original version,i you have msn i can send it to you

  • Thank you but someone told me to look up "ketch vampire-lee perry". It's OK but I like this better, same with down presser man, she kicks ass.

  • Get some more Sinead! You can't go wrong, and if you ever have a chance to hear her live, you must do that! So soulful.

  • IRELAND FOREVER!!!!

  • Praise Jah, Sinead! Jah Fiya be in this song! And it's "InI" not "I am nigh" =]

  • I think in this song the Vampire is the British Empire....

  • @SoniaShell Thank you very much for this information !

I have been searching for a few days now and i knew it was something like "babylonians" but maybe more specific.

    Great sound, great upload!

  • No, I dont think so.. :))

  • @SoniaShell Vampire is Babylon cause this is reggae

  • @SoniaShell empire yankee, empire romain, empire british etc

  • @SoniaShell the vampaya are the blood drinkers which means the priest of the catholic church.

  • And also

1 love to all mankind and whatnot...

ah, but theres an exception is'nt there?

anyone care to venture a guess on what sort of people would be cast down as sinners, wrong-doers?

anyone heard Sodom&Gomorrow by the Congos, a REAL ROOTS REGGAE band?

  • yes i know that song very roots reggae ethiopian song

  • Comment removed

  • Great tune, i've been hooked since i heard it for the first time maybe a year or two ago.. This is originally a Devon Irons tune from back in the 70's by the way, also a Black Ark production...

    "Obadiah obadiah..."

  • Oh, ijahmanlevi already mentioned that.. I got caught up in the music.. ;)

  • and indeed, a great tune it is.

devon iron's version is my favorite, but i came across this song searching for Lee Perry&Sinead O'Connor - Curly Locks. another great sinead reggae song

  • I had no idea that Sinead O'Connor has the soul of a rasta, but I always liked the little I did know about her. Batter down babylon.

  • The color of your skin is of no importance, we are all one in the eyes of Jah.

    Soul Majestic

    Ooklah the Moc

You don't have to be Dread to be Rasta, and you don't have to be Rasta to do Reggae. Reggae is an expression of ones soul through music praising The One, Jah, Allah, G-d, Yahweh. One G-d, one love, one people. It no matter where your heart take you, long as He with you.

  • Compelling.

  • Jah made all people from Adam and Eve. Anyone who is Spiritually tuned in can play Reggae regardless of colour. The Emperor said "until the colour of a mans skin is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes, there will always be war"- InI need to practice On-Love in perfect inity!!!Jah bless!!!

  • words of wisdom

  • well

white people cant do roots reggae

  • okay

white people cant do roots reggae

  • Does that mean that Bob Marley could only half do roots reggae?

  • no, 100%.. coz he had the soul of a rasta and a welshwoman :P

just toss off, this is a stupid argument and a crap song.

Leave rastas to roots reggae coz lord knows they do it a hunnert times better than any of us ever could.

  • @CONNOOORRLAAAA Sinead is an Irish womban who has lived thru down pressure from the State n church a like.... She sings wha she knows n wha she feels.... dont judge a man/womban till di I walk ina deh shoes, RasTafarI

  • great!

  • lepandaa French rap is top check out MC Solar I dont even speak frenchie

  • The original was FAR better I'm afraid...

  • who did the original?

  • Devon Irons - Ketch Vampire

  • cant understand those listen reggae,or claim being rasta still argue, the defenition ofHIM and the race position of the movement, after so long.though its so clear.shame on to those who preach hate and not one love.

  • It's not about the color of your skin.

Music is one common language. Some chinese do rock, some French do rap, and that girl does sing really well the reggae.

  • this is so true. im a white man and have a pure passion for reggae music.

as morgan heritage said in there song

you dont haf to be dread to be rasta...

  • hehe.... mila rasta faray....

  • beautiful vibes from our sister.

jah love. spread the roots and make the tree grow tall. nah-sayers are just some babylon.

    give thanks and praises.

  • you silly hypocrites. this isn't the haters' ball. get the poison out of your souls. if you were true lovers of peace and rasta music, then you would have no venom to spew. you'd find more atrocious things in the world to call a "disgrace" than a simple cover song

  • sorry but were is burning spear????? not original at all!!!
