  • i cant believe how much the town has changed in just 23 years! its kind of scarry.

i wish i could go back to those times. everything in our town seemed much nicer.

  • looked alot cleaner back then....

  • Another 15 seconds and would have seen my house lol

  • I remember growing up in Glace Bay between 1978 and 1994...things have dramatically changed.

  • awesome ,,, thanks so much for the post ,, i was only about 10 years old when this was rec. but damn the memories this brings back lol@woodhouse!!!! great commentary,,,again thx

  • ahh very cool, that must be you in the background haha.

  • @gumbootiner hahah yes it is!

  • I remember when it was like this, was just a kid but it's cool to see, who's the guy talking? the bay rules, it's what you make of it just like anywhere. thanks for the video.

  • @gumbootiner Hey! That is my father doing the commentary. Back then, consumer video recorders were a brand new thing - we couldn't afford one, but my parents rented one for a week. Not knowing what to do in the videos, my father did alot of hilarious commentary!

  • GB feels like a ghost town now :(

  • "Son take a good look around...this is your home town"

Spent the best days of my life in the Bay.

The drunks and druggies were always there, now its just a new generation thats all.

    Peace.

  • @stalag14 They have multiplied by 10

  • Nothing in Glace Bay now except drunks and druggies

  • This is great.

  • this is awesome . its really cool to know what glace bay was like before i was born . really interesting hahaha

  • This is awesome!

  • ps- "coal dust days" is New Waterford's event and obviously you havent been here in a while, we are not all druggies or drug pusher tyvm

  • I remember back 35 yrs ago when I lived by the Miner's Form and I remember the cold dust days and the fun the town had, going to St Anne's School and sitting on the brick wall in front of the church. Where did those years go and now the town is crawling with druggies and drug pushers and people with no where to live. I moved from Glace Bay back in the early 70's would never move back there but might come to visit if I knew anyone there.

  • wow this sure brings back memories

  • What a fun trip down memory lane. "Taking a shot through town," as they say. Nice job!

  • OMG...Such a blast of the past of my favorite hometown!!! Remembering the good times of that year!!!

  • my home town...GB
