  • good mix of great musicians

  • Harrison and Petty - 2 of the best ever

  • thumb down due to fucking COMMERCIALS!

  • There´ll never be a Band like this. Just a perfect combination. AND they got John Candy there, ain´t gettin´ better!!

  • @Pentastar018 I believe the butler is Eric Idle. No?

  • Talk about some old friends getting together....George, bob Dylan, Jim Horn on the sax and the drummer Jim Keltner all played at The Concert for Bangladesh in 1970!

  • Without Roy they aren't as good. But they still get a 9 out of 10.

  • Me ? I wanna be one of the horn players on this song.

  • Genios!!

  • genios!!!!!!!

  • I only just realised that... the butler is Eric Idle!!!!

  • @Scarperguy

    Yes, he is :-)

  • ¿quiénes serán los 11 culeados que no les gusta?... seguro que son kirchneristas

  • Awesome.

  • 0:33 - 0:47 is it George's voice?

  • @bujan3000

    That's George, all right :-)

  • ah tom petty<3:DDD lol

    this band rocks.

  • why is jeff lynne left handed at 0:20 and right handed the rest of the video?

  • @MrRielly99

They are standing in a doorway, and it seems to be a narrow spot,

guess he would poke Bobs hiney if the guitar was the other way around :-)

  • @MrRielly99 If you look closely, the camera is filming them through a mirror. :)

  • dylan must be thinking: what fuck am I doing here??

  • Fantastic!

Going to the top of my playlist, rock on!

  • how did George make it to a 2007 session/version?

  • @TheKevin1950 I don't think they filmed the video in 2007, but sorta re-made the video with some extra scenes. Not too sure though...

  • this is just goofy

  • @beatlesfilms I know, isnt it great?

  • We know it's not going to happen.. but a Vol.2 would blow the world!

  • Oh, my god, Tom Petty.

  • Damn, Jeff's lookin hot in this video :-)

  • @16wani Jeff's hot in any video! ;) ;)

  • @TheStarcatchergirl

    He's hot, oh yeah ;-)

  • @16wani hop around the room--in your underwear!! Funny!

  • @TheStarcatchergirl

iIt sure is, and it seems that the guys had a lot of fun and some good times makin' the videos and the wonderful music they created for us to enjoy :-)

  • @16wani I would of loved to have been a fly on the wall while these guys were jammin'....the things one would of heard...priceless!

  • @TheStarcatchergirl

That would have been something :-D and it so amazing that five so different personalities could come together and make such amazing art, that's pure magic.

  • @16wani -- YUP!!

  • @luvyellowroses1 Well, thank you. I imagine I DO have finesse & class, because I am still 'in love' with George Harrison. Oh, man. My mother, who, in the early days of the Beatles, said that she 'didn't like' the Beatles, now goes to a hair salon named 'Abbey Road', run by a 60 plus owner, who STILL won't stop colouring, and has Beatles posters all over her salon.

  • @MicroWorldLover Well...that's not completely correct. i'll let you know (once I get 'the dirt') soon, ok?

  • @luvyellowroses. I am looking forward to the forthcoming movie of George's life, directed by Scorsese! ......It's gonna be good....

  • @luvyellowroses1 Wel,1 (ahem), yes they are, (young lady). Ahem, that is a most spritely tune you boys have conjured up. Is it about a lady? Ahem. That is most gentlemanly of you. It seems, that there are 2 ladies who have your affections, gentlemen. One lady, who calls herself @luvyellowroses seems to love Mr. Lynne (for whatever reason). The other lady, seems to be content with calling for the dead, in her repertroire. I believe, that the woman who still loves the dead, is insane.

  • @luvyellowroses Hey, gf Just wanted to see if you were still alive. This song is ROCKIN'! (and, I LOVE it!)

  • BUENISIMO ,PARA PATEAR EN LAS REUNIONES FAMILIARES, EN ARG ME ENTIENDEN .... BAILARLO JAJAA

  • @luvyellowroses1 ..yep, That's great!!

  • Jim Keltner is the man...what a great way to round out this amazing band!

  • 2:21 great Dylan!!!

  • JOHN CANDY??!!! NO WAY!!!

  • Needs more George.

  • Just watchin Tom Petty and George Harrison...or ANY of them paired up.....singin into the same mic, at the same time...and then the SOUND that comes out!!!! WOW..beyond cool.......

  • Only thing wrong with this is Roy Orbison wasn't around to be in it...

  • @arezeeisme great lost to the wilburys

  • Comment removed

  • One of the best concept bands ever. Too bad they never toured. GREAT music.

  • Love it!

  • So many talented musicians all together. And they had fun doing it. Best lyricist was Bob Dylan, guitar George Harrison, voice had to be Roy Orbison, but the most overall talented was, surprise, Jeff Lynne of ELO.

  • 10 people fell on their ass .

  • didnt even know they made a vid for this! awesome!

  • @luvyellowroses1 I never heard this one tiil you made it in known to me......It's a top catchy tune...Thanks

  • Thank God they remade this. The original had a bunch of C list celebrities like a 12 y/o Fred Savage and (ugh)Whoopie Goldberg acting stupid and goofie. Yet they had enough sense to leave in John Candys brillant part. His "what the hell is happening to me" reaction is absolutely hilarious!

  • Could you put anymore fantastic musicians together? WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love that Eric Idles plays the butler...

  • This song makes manna dance! I love it! :)

  • @craftygirl7 wanna... ops! :)

  • I don't think Dylan was too excited about this song lol

  • temazo

  • 9 people fell on their ass doin the wilbury twist

  • @Icanhasoboe

    LOL...so true!

  • RIP John Candy and George Harrison.

  • theres another version wheres theres lots of celebrities in the video. has anybody seen it?

  • @jw12061 I would be very interested too

  • @jw12061 How many more celebreties do you need????

  • Rock n Roll baby

  • If this is the 2007 version how is George Harrison in it? He died in 2001

  • @schynowethable It's an old video, but they remastered it in 2007.

  • @schynowethable

That is the first thing I noticed. I think schynowethable is right when he says this is a remastered release in 2007. That simply means they have cleaned up the original video into a sharper digital format and improved the sound quality. That is fair enough and what we see is totally authentic.

I love this group, all of them masters in their own right.

  • This group was what friends did for each other. Having fun. Seat back with a black bottle of Old No7 Jack Daniels and enjoy. Dennis from SLT, CA

  • Eric Idle as the butler... Strange cameos by him and Candy...

  • Love John Candy in this!!! I miss the Traveling Wilburys!!

  • I love traveling wilburys even though i was born in 1996 i'm a true 60's girl :)

  • @jhmp01 Wilburys were the 80's though..

  • "get back up and put ur teeth in the glass" i love this band

  • I had no idea John Candy is in this

  • Bob Dylan is so fucking cool. Who's better John or Paul?...George Harrison is the answer

  • 7 people fell on their ass when they tried to hit the like button

  • Mmmm might play this at my funeral, get their toe's a tappin....

  • Where did the name Wilbury come from?

  • @whpriol1

The name was based on a runing joke

when George Harrison was recording "Cloud Nine", he and Jeff Lynne used to laugh when someone made a mistake: ,,We'll bury it in the mix." That became later Wilbury

  • RIP John Candy

  • Why doesn't lil' Billy *(inside joke, reference to Dylan character in movie) ever smile? Come on Dylan! Show American and the world that lovely smile! You always seem so depressed and all of your facial expressions lead people to believe that you're constipated. No offense whatever to ol' Zimmerman, I'm a huge Dylan fan, I just want to seem him look happy for once; that's alls. =D

  • @Ericclapton24000 He said, "How did I get so jaded".... Look at, "End of the line" to see him smile:)

  • Such a fun song, and good to see old friends.

  • All legends in their own right!

Bet if I gave them the instructions for my microwave they could turn them into a hit!!

  • @CyberKiwi73 Instructions for microwave? Well, maybe not. But, they did play good tunes, didn't they? Guys who can play a good guitar---'like that'---swoon'. The best part is: even my (old) mother would like this one!

  • @luvyellowroses Mr. Lynne looks particularly hirsute in this video. I might just have to rethink my priorities.

  • The Canadian comedian, John Candy (RIP), was a good sport for this vid.

  • @CyberKiwi73 , I agree with it, completely!

  • The old folks are NOT OLD. Thier CRASNO!

  • This is the REVISED version..the ORIGINAL...had "DYlan" problems LOL--he wasn;t in the MOOD to make a video that day..(so the other Wilbury's especially Harrison recalls) so he just kind of put on a Parker coat and hung around....he looks out of place hunched over in the Parka in the original video..but its pure Dylan in one of his "moods: lol

  • Looks like it was a fun video to make - geez, even Jim Keltner is grinning.

  • LOVE the fake ending at 2:47

  • Anyone know why the original version of this video seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth? There were way more cameos (I particularly remember Milli Vanilli)

  • @coachbk1 - I have a link but I'm not being allowed to send it. Google it and you'll find a like to a myspace page by someone named Sara. She has it. It's great.

  • @coachbk1 YEAH--did you SEE Dylan in it...he wasnt cooperating..lol

  • I remember when I worked at the Royal Garden Hotel and Jim Keltner was staying there, I had a conversation with him. What a lovely guy, wish I had known he was so good looking at the time.!!!

  • @tongapuss Lol - those of us who are closer to him in age STILL think he's good looking!!

  • @tallenuf53 I am now thoroughly confused. I have no idea what I said. I went to the page with the TW but I cannot see what I said about someone looking good. Can you refresh me as I have no idea. Thanks for responding though. ha ha

  • John Candy = Legend of comedy !!!

    The traveling Willbury's = Awesome !!!

  • @MrGod1973 Take down this comment. I SAID THIS WAY BEFORE YOU.

  • @OrbisonForever Then we both think the same !!!

  • @MrGod1973 true.

  • well 4 persons dont know dancing the willbury twists

  • To susanbentjen...thanks for answering my question....Eric somehow really resembles Spader a bit in this video except for the chin. I appreciate your help!

  • you only get a band or two like this in ure life. this one and the highwaymen!!!!

  • Jeff looks uncannily like his old pal Roy Wood in this one. Weird.

  • How is bob dylan so serious in this video?

Smile bob! You're playing one of the bests songs ever!

    Love travelling wilburys!!!

  • Bob Dylan on the ol' 12 string. Nice.

  • good music good beat cant keep my feet still x

  • love it

  • I like this and im 12

  • Hey, Jim Horn? Yeah!

  • WWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, DANCE BABY DANCE

  • They had so much fun, even Mr Dylan looks like he was having a good time

  • @littlebosammy I like that.. respect! respect back!

  • Great song and video, but this is not a 2007 version.

  • @skarr0 The is the revised video from 2007.

From Wikipedia: "The original music video featured cameos from many contemporary celebrities. The DVD video in the 2007 re-release set, The Traveling Wilburys Collection, retains only a few introductory shots of John Candy and Eric Idle, otherwise simply showing the band members performing the song."

  • John Candy + Wilburys = AWESOME!

  • Aint never been nothin quite like THIISSS!

  • When you put great artist together what do you exspect long live the traveling wilburys.

  • Awesome to see some (fairly) modern music in the of Rock 'n'n Roll swing style, greatest super group ever!

  • brilliant masterpiece!

  • yes spike

  • I love the Traveling Wilburys, they all had made it big and this band was just about having some fun, they were doing stuff they they enjoyed and not trying to make it into the charts, and it shows. fantastic.

  • Too bad Orbison was not in the vid.

  • @evagraphics Unfortunately, Roy had passed away by the time the video was filmed.

  • @judecreek2 Yeah, that's too bad. RIP :(

Out of curiosity do you know how long between the song being recorded-and his passing-and the making of the video?

  • Jeff is playin' the steel guitar....also, I believe the lines of lyrics that are sung where it shows no one singing them are the verses sung by Roy Orbinson.

  • @nortonsh What do you mean by that. This song was written more than a year after Roy Died.

  • This is music video is probably about the MCA C.E.O:)

  • Why isn't there a LOVE button!!!!???

  • It just gets BETTER!!!!!

  • funny¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • @TravelingWilburys how can this be 2007 if george is still alive?

  • Good boys!!!

  • i like jim keltner and his drumming

  • Tom Petty is mesmerising.

  • 2007 version? i thought that George died in 2001

  • @G2NK Maybe its remastered or something?

  • Why am I smiling?

  • Isn't the guy playing John Candy's valet James Spader in "The Wilbury Twist" video?? As far as being the biggest fan, I am a Wiburys fanatic and I have worshiped Dylan since the early sixties. Saw him in my hometown (New Orleans) so long ago....awesome!

  • @DYLANETTE1 - The valet is Eric Idle from Monty Pythons Flying Circus and one of George's close friends.

  • I totally love this tune, the video makes it better, I get to see the late greats George Harrison and John Candy. As well as the elite of music Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and Jeff Lynne. what else could you want in a song/video? if you can't say anything good about these guys then stop watching their videos. At least show some respect for those have passed from this earth.

  • JOHN CANDY WAS SURE ONE SUGAR SUGAR WHERE EVER HE TRAVELLED AND THESES GUYS PROVIDED THE TWISTS AND TURNS JUST AS MUCH!!!!!!!!!!;-)

  • Idle had Harrison on "Rutland Weekend TV" (George started to sing My Sweet Lord but went into "A Pirate's Life for me") and George had a cameo in The Rutles as a TV reporter interviewing a char. played by Michael Palin. George's Handmade Films financed some Python movies. Other Beatle-Python connections include Ringo Starr with a cameo on a fake TV show hosted by the "It's..." man...Idle once appeared as a Lennonesque figure saying "I'm starting a war for peace"

  • @raccoonradio2 Not to mention that the "The Concert For George" Monty Python performed their famous "Lumberjack" song with special guest Tom Hanks. Hilarious. The video is available here on youtube.

  • Good ol' time rocker!

  • hold it.....John Candy and Eric Idle?!!!
