@DANCE6042 in first place you are bending the knees, second your line with your feet and legs is not right, and third you have to "feel" the floor when doing tendu, but you have a very nice arch and if u work it it will be great ;) !!!
i feel like you could be pointing much harder. you have naturally arched feet, i think you just need to get your strength back. when you're on releve it looks like your not all the way on the ball of your foot. concentrated on getting you heels up more.
what are you retarded? have you seen how skinny professional ballerina are?
they're are skinny and strong cuz they have LEAN SMOOTH muscles. ballerinas cannot be bulky. i've been doing ballet nearly 20 years, and i think her legs are perfect for ballet.
and HELLOO! she just said she hadn't danced years! she's not going to be perfect right away.
I have a high arch... but its really hard to do athletics and swimming, cause your feet are especially made for ballet... mind you - if you want to see my feet ask my to post a video. :)
@SammiaMei honestly i dont know much about ballet but i think women with high arches are so beautiful....high arches add elegance to a woman's body in my opinion....i watched a couple of ur videos....ur cute and id love to see your feet since you volunteered and all ;)....not sure if you wanted an all 'ballet audience' but if u do then i respect that..lemme know if you are interested in doing my request ;)
Look, there are ways one developed the prototypically high "ballet arch." Use elastic bands, lots of Pointe exercises...
Trust me, you'll get the feet and technique you really want soon. It's ballet. It just... takes time. And sacrifice. That's what ballet is... endless sacrifice.
Believe you me, I know. I've been taking for almost ten years. And yes, all worth it.
--Best hopes for you, Your Brother in Arms and Tights, Dane Youssef
When you go on demi pointe just let your feet go you have great arches and great potential. Also when doing you tondu try to pointe your ankle and arch more than just you toes.

Hello my name is Justin ive watched many of these videos of people doing ballet I have to say you have this is probably the best vid i have seen so far your arch is perfect and your technique is also and to go along with all that your feet are pretty to
When you start your tandu you must press on the ground with your toes, rotating them as much as possible and lifting your heel slowly . This work of pression would help to improve your arches.
as is some commments have said . before is hard to go through your foot when you are bare foot on a sticky wooden floor, but make sure to strech the ankle and arch before the toes rather than the other way round :)
You could work them a little more. Your feet are gorgeous so if you you could work them and make them point a little more, they would look amazing! :)
OMG!!!!!!!!!! i have the exact same foot structure as you and its so annoying but my ballet teacher recommended lots of rises, releves and exercises with a theraband
i know its hard to slide your foot on wood floor barefoot, but when you point your foot, try to keep your foot from leaving the ground. push through the floor and extend til your in your full point. but good job :)
We have the same feet structure. I haven't had any ballet lessons ever, but I'm planning to take up Adult Beginners Ballet during the Christmas break.
I have feet like yours. My old ballet teacher said that people with nice arches are usually born with them and that no amount of work will ever get my foot looking as nice as those born with natural arches...regardless i still work on it, and true to an extent they don't look as flash as others but its still better than before (my teacher got fired btw)
You've looking to get a straight line all done your leg to your toe or even more pointed if possible. Great turn out for a beginner, just remember not to force it ( I can't tell if you are or not, basically it turning out shouldn't hurt or you shouldn't be digging your heels or toes into the ground ) or you'll probably have trouble maintaining your turn out in center or releves, eleves :] Keep trying!
feet size ,?

Your feet remind me a lot of mine. You have to push through your ankles more when your on releve and when your pointe your foot.

Your feet aren't all that bad..just try to work on them more...maybe use a therband and stretch them out alot more...

Keep in mind that i have not taken a dance class in 4 years, and i am starting up again in the fall. But i think i might need to warm up more. Thanks
DANCE6042 3 years ago
It's not bad, but you seem a bit stiff around the ankles. Is that the most you can straighten/curve your arch? Were you warmed up enough?
