  • it ends right in the middle of that kickass Grisman bass solo?!?! FFFFFUUUUUUUU

  • Such a great song! Gotta love a girl who does Bob Dylan.

  • Who knew a little teenage white girl from Wimberley TX could play the blues as if she grew up in the N'awlins delta 50 years ago? Sarah is a voodoo chile! She got soul, y'all!

  • @9firefly9 She's awesome alright! I know some think Sierra is Alison Krauss' successor but my money is on Sierra being Rhonda Vincent's and this girl Krauss' .

  • @reddragonready You have a point. Either girl has enough talent to succeed AK, but Sierra is more "commercially viable" while Sarah is more "indie-hip." Sierra has more of the 'glam' factor, while Sarah has more musical depth and diversity. But after 4 years in Berklee, I'll wager Sierra catches up to Sarah in diversity and songwriting abilities. Who knows if she'll ever have the R&B and soul chops of SJ tho. Sierra may be Monroe's kid, but Sarah is Robert Johnson's descendant (via white folks).

  • @9firefly9 Actually, personally, I'd consider Sarah to have more glam and commercial viability than Sierra but my remark indeed went to the musical depth and diversity. I think that the diversity is very much a choice and that is the main reason I see Sierra more as "successor" to Rhonda and Sarah to Alison. Sierra seems to indeed chose to stick more to traditional where as Sarah might bring something new to bluegrass while still respecting the genre, the way Alison does.
