i just think the more people that convert to these types of bikes, the more bicycle accidents there will be.. although i do want a kit for my 20" schwinn lowrider.
i bet they are super fun though! wish i could test one out!
that's awesome. where do I get the kit to start my project? I wanna try it out for winter using studed bike wheels... i would appreciate some info... thanks
Cool video, we got 58.6km/h on flats with a currie 36v motor, not a hub. We also have a hub 36v 5305 with crystalyte controller not modified and it only goes 32km/h.
i want please this is too cool. can i fit this onto my push bike? how to refuel. i thought electric would run out of battery quckly. i wanted a petrol
dang. that looks scary. I think I'll stick with my brushed piece of crap wienee motor. Actually, I want that one! It looks awesome, it's just too expensive for me. What size wheel?
You see a 20 degree angle off my handlebars in the video,i can see all around myself and am always very aware of whats going on.Coming to a complete stop is hard on the batteries for taking off,and police don't tend to bug bicyclists about coasting through stops.
I'm keeping an eye on those cheap LiFePO4 batteries on ebay,By spring if they receive enough good feedback i'll jump into those.
As of now the SLA's have taken a beating and been frozen a couple times.I can only go about 45 kmh now but i'm still pretty happy with the way these sla's worked.
In the spring this motor is going on my GF's Belieze industrial tricycle@72volts,I'm going with a rear 5305@72 volt on my Giant Stiletto chopper.
He's farting.

What do you like best..the Currie Izip or Crystalyte ? Which gives best speed and endurance at 36 V ?
bgoates 3 years ago
My Izip has 600 km's on it,and is now dead.So$500 for 600 km's....not very efficient.
Go crystalyte and build.

@bgoates I just wanted to ask where did you get a 26" crystalyte 5303? (Rear wheel?)
staver76 3 months ago
I use rear 5305 and i'm very satisfied! the most torque you can get and at 86V you get 65kmh. I use A123 from dewalt nano cells
I sale them too!

are you peddling to do a range of 40kms. And what kind of 36v battery pack are you using?
tigger3015 3 years ago
No that's all battery,it was 3x 12volt 18 ah SLA's in series.
I'll be running a different motor *5305* and 72 volts worth of LifePo4's this year
Roninfelix 3 years ago
how far can you go
tigger3015 3 years ago

Thanks for your concern, but i'll be alright

Yeah, true I guess. But you can get a ticket if a cop just happens to come up behind you and spots you doing that.
