Hi, after just cleaning out my cast iron pan, I thought I'd like to ask you how you clean and care for your cast iron. Also, I have a dutch oven that is rather rusty. Any ideas on how to clean and season it?

@baire702 I just rub it down with lard, and if it dose not have a good season on it, then you can pre heat your oven to 250 and put it in it upside down with foil under it to catch the drippings, If you have a rusty skillet, then use a sos pad on it and then wash good and season the same as above several times. You will have to wash the rust out severl times too. Also if you have a drill put a wire brush in it and use it on it or you can heat fire it.
