Where I live that Jack at 3:45 would be shark food before you could get it to the surface. And if you objected the shark would take a piece of you too. I would say 1/3 fish you have to give away to the sharks here.

OK so I have noticed that almost everyone here has ripped into this so called "navy" boy. so I just had to put my 2 cents worth in too. OI my Navy man, do you realise boats KILL more fish than we Spearos do? - No? I didnt think so, Navel vessels kill more marine life and fish then we do and your ONLY "valid" arguement is that we are calling you stupid? Wow buddy WAKE UP! how I know all this, well I'm also in the Navy as a Diver and know proberbly allot more about marine life then you do!

Now to be killed by a boat, for none consumption by a humen, I do think that is a little bit more "Vain" then being speared for food? When you go to a shop and buy your sea food or meat products do you realise Pigs, Roos, Cows, Chickens, Sharks, Fish, Crustations, Cephlapods ects; are all put through a more brutel ordiel then being speared?

Fish feel very little to NO pain at all(depending on species) and I guess if your argument were valid your saying now that ALL Animals are killed in vain? This is NOT TRUE! Its the circle of life buddy! since the dawn of time animals have had to kill to servive, so who are we to judge the fairness of something? Thats pretty good, have you guys speared of Coffs Harbour of the Solitary Islands? I live there but I lack a boat so I just mainly hang around northwall and headlands. Some excellent sized fish here, we came home with a 4k Red Morwong the other day. Occasianly we get snapper in on the rocks. An excellent variety of fish here and if you guys ever visit I can highly reconmend that you give it a try.
