  • Maybe he gets subs because his french sounds so funny. Just saying ;)

  • You are much more interesting than most mc vloggers. Keep up the good stuff!

  • Oulala , faudrait pas leur donner des idées comme ça au flics, on serait vraiment mal !! ;)

  • That languange thing is really funny... I've also noticed that about Amish people in America! They're speaking some kind of 18th century German. ;D

  • Opaque is a word, yes!

  • I'm from Montreal, Quebec and I vlog in english because honestly I didn't even know there were french speaking vlogger. I still talk in french to my fellow riders in my vid though. Funny how Quebecois understand the Français but they can't seem to understand us...

  • @seb1041 You're right, a lot of people from France can't understand people from Quebec at all and they love to take the piss out of their accent as well. It's all in good fun for them but I think it's bullshit. You don't see Brits making fun of the Canadian, American or Aussie accents. Oh well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

  • @KillBorn88 It is true that we have a tendency to make fun of it. That's only because we're idiots. Although I do disagree when you say that Brits don't make fun of Aussies. They do, A LOT. Same things goes with Brits vs. Americans. I've heard a lot of Brits imitating American accents in a stereotypical and ironic manner.

  • @seb1041 We actually understand you but it does take some effort. I hope I didn't come across as a guy who dislikes Quebecois. I actually really love the fact that most of you try to keep to French as a main language.

  • @ParisianZee No it's all good man. We should do a vlog in french to see what would happen :P

  • o-pay-kah is the English way of saying it, but your close enough..lol.

  • @Wilks89 Thanks for that, I was wondering what the right pronunciation was.

  • I go to Quebec a lot and I can understand Quebecois perfectly fine but I don't think French people in France always can. One girl I know from Quebec spoke English when she travels to France so that she can be understood. Crazy! Kinda sad when they're speaking the same language but with different accent. English speakers have different accents but we all understand each other.

  • @KillBorn88 To be honest (and I know quite a bit about English accents) the difference is quite spectacular from French french to Quebecois french. More so than, say, from Brit english to American english.

  • @ParisianZee We're used to wildly different accents in English, too. Southern United States is totally different from a Scottish accent or a Boston accent. There are so many of them. It's all good, bro. I know the Quebec accent is considered inferior or just not tasteful in France. I just kinda feel bad for them lol!

  • Think of it this way, the Quebecers consider themselves a dying breed in Canada cause they're in a country which is 2/3 English. For that vlogger, speaking English is a contribution to the destruction of Quebec culture (popular thinking amongst many). The Quebecers consider themselves Quebecers more than they consider themselves French. It's kind of the same as with English Canadians and Brits. We call it garbage, they call it rubbish. Quebecois call it patate, you call it pomme de terre

  • @ALBGunner04 Very true but a lot of Ontarians speak French as well.

  • @KillBorn88 Of course, but there's also people in NB and a few out west who also speak French. Overall though, the majority of influence in the national stage regarding French comes from Quebec, and we've all been so used to associating French with Quebec lol. I hope I can become a bilingual Ontarian. I can understand the language and speak a bit of it, but I'm trying to get better. Watching Radio-Canada helps :p

  • @ALBGunner04 Radio-Canada and any French tv programs are great for comprehension but terrible in practice because you don't get any. The best way to learn any language to open up your mouth and start talking. If you have the will, which you seem to, you can do it.

  • @ALBGunner04 Extremely true. One thing also is that they actually will stick to French no matter what. For instance, an e-mail in France is ... an e-mail. In Canada, it's a "courriel". In France, a T-shirt is... a T-shirt. In Canada, it's a "chandail". Etc.

  • opaque is a word in english , exact meaning as you said :)

Id say your english is very good, youd probably be quite able to mingle with most people here in the uk with your quality of english , you would learn the more complicated words just fine.

Did you teach yourself english or did you learn it at a school?

  • @jimbo80982 Neither. I was born in Brazil and hence have had two mother tongues right away. That makes absorbing other languages very easy. Add to that the prominence of English in the world of movies, television shows, music... and there you go. I also speak Spanish fluently, Portuguese, and I can read and understand Italian.

  • HHEHE your funny man, they speak "old" french cause the french came over and tried to conquer Canada way back when and in Quebec the old language stuck.

My co worker is from Paris and we all ways make fun of him C'est Bon!

  • @bloodhay Ahah. Nice to hear from you man ! It's been a while.

  • Nice vid!

  • @VitalityJolt Thanks !

  • If you start vLogging in French I'll come over to Belgium and punch you on your Spanish nose... or something, I'm a little confused right now :P

  • @YarekBalear Ahah. Born in Brazil. French by blood. Anything-english-spoken fan. I hope that clears everything up :-)

  • Its the same with Dutch and the south African language. To me it sounds like a not educated foreigner failing at dutch :).

  • @Guybrush1816351 Ahahah

  • im glad you speak in english, i love to watch you ride around paris but it would suck it if i couldn't understand you, especially cause your a funny guy

  • @battlecry75 Thanks, much appreciated

  • Thanks Pzee,

Do you have no more from your England trip?

Enjoyed thatb but I'm sure you said watch for a part 4?

Forgive me If I missed it btw.

  • @Blahdeblah52 More on the England trip coming soon.

  • The name of my City is Terre Haute, and I'm pretty sure the dialect is more hillbilly southern than it should be! LOL

  • @BrianWest58 LOL that one made me laugh.

  • Detroit was originally a French speaking city, as it was founded by French Canadians from Quebec. My grandfather spoke the language, and thought he had it made when he was being stationed in France during WW1. He told me that when he go to France he had a difficult time understanding them.

  • @cashstore1 I'm not surprised ! If you dig deep enough, it is mind boggling the amount of things that our countries have in common, not only in languages and expressions, but simply in history.

  • Thought about vlogging in my own language but as you're saying "as a vlogger you want people to watch your vids and english is just a more common language" If your channel was french spoken you probably would not have the number of subs you have right now.

  • @bakker46 I wouldn't have any. I barely have any right now compared to some of the big fishes. But I'm not after the numbers. I could lose 50% of my subs tomorrow and just go "shit happens". What that does, is that every time I get another sub, smile goes up, because people are interested. That's the only thing that keeps me going.

  • I appreciate the effort you put into speaking English for your vlogging audience. And after talking with you personally while you were over here, your English is much better than most scaffolders here in England :-P

  • @xanas7 Ahahahah. Evilnunmit : "How the hell do you know what scaffolding is ?!" LOL. Thanks man :-)

  • When I saw you in Extreme 601's video I thought you were Scottish at first xD But then realised you were French. You sound very different on camera rather than speaking into a microphone

  • Thanks for the shutout :)

Your English is very good, most likely better than my French.

  • @gogosor You're welcome mate, no problems at all. I do like to have a fellow French vlogger. Well, French by adoption anyway.

  • opaque - your pronunciation could do with some work :)
