Great reviews!! i feel the same way about every single song!! This was a very emonional record and on track 3 Push i never really liked it at first but hten after listening to it a couple more timez it turned out to be my favorite song. Same with 4 Real

I agree with What the Hell, the first time I've heard it I didn't know what to think so I listened to it again and I really loved it. I say my top 3 favourite songs out from it would be Smile, Everybody Hurts, and Not Enough. But its really hard choosing a favourite as I love all her songs (including ones from The Best Damn Thing)

I thought it was a really good album one of her best the pros: its a really,really emotional album(even more then her other stuff) great vocals almost all the songs are really relatable the piano pieces and guitars are nice the songs just sound good the cons: its a little to simple(I know she made it simple as a way to gain even more emotion but its just to simple though) smile and what the hell dont fit some of the songs sound the same to many slow songs for me I would give it a 9/10

Your thoughts on goodbye lullaby are so true. Although one of my favourite songs on goodbye lullaby is push =)

Its a nice song to me and i really like it, i found not enough more emotional than everybody hurts aswell. Love the review!! xx

While I can appreciate that she did more on this album than ever before (although I think that should be a given), it's embarrassing how simple her songs are. Her lyrics and sound now, to me, sound like they were written by someone younger and less experienced than on her debut album. Song content shouldn't devolve with experience. She has a long way to go.

Good review . I don't however share the same thoughts on it . Her voice sounded strained sometimes , like she was trying to hit notes too high for her . And it's more of an album that girls would like more than the guys . If she had a rockin album with 3 or so of these songs on it , I would appreciate them a lot more , but 9 or so of them in a row was too much for me . But she is still #1 to me and always will be .

Ahh! You should get the deluxe edition- it has Acoustic versions of What the Hell, Push, and Wish You Were Here and a cover of "Bad Repuation". I bought it the day it came out and it was only five dollars (U.S. dollars) more than the regular version and its sooooo gooood!!!!!!!!!

I really like this new album.. I felt like she took a trip back a bit to the "Let Go" days... I can also relate to the song "Wish You Were Here" cause my boyfriend live abroad.. So yeah.. I also love the songs "I Love You", "4 Real" and "What the Hell".. I dont think I wmissed any other song lol.. The album as a whole is really good.. I thought if Evan sang more on the track "push" it would have been so much better =]

I disagree with you, I think "not enough" is the song that doesn't need to be in the album, instead of 4 Real...but about every other song, I completely agree with you,..I cannot pick a favorite song yet, but the candidates are Smile, Stop Standing There, I love you and Wish you were here....I do not have the album yet, I preorder the deluxe version, and I'm still waiting for it...

My favourite song is I Love You and Everybody Hurts! Goodbye Lullaby hasn't come to the country i live in yet, which is so sad! Plus, lately I've been into depressing songs and I think this album suites my mood so much and i found myself listening to the the songs in the album ALL THE TIME since it was release. Thank you for the review and I think you made me want to get it more and more! I might not be able to wait that long and eventually i'll buy it online. :D GREAT JOB!

The album is absolutely breathtaking, right from the very first listen it just drew me in and I was hanging on her every word. Smile is my favourite from the album, I'm actually a bit of a goof getting right into it and dancing and lip syncing to it when I'm on the bus and whatnot, it really puts me in a really happy mood. Wish You Were Here has become my new "Randomly Burst Out Singing" song, I just... love it. Overall, an amazing album and sooo worth the wait. XD

But in the other hand, Goodbye Lullaby is a really emotional record. It really shows what Avril is like in her heart, what she feels, and what she's been through. She really sings on this record, I didn't really feel like she was singing on TBDT, the tracks there were more like a story, every track was one story. Anyway, i LOVE this record and I can't wait to see her touring and singing these great songs.

I completely agree with EVERYTHING you said in the video. Especially about 'Goodbye', I cried a bit too when I heard it. Breathtaking, really. Avril has really shown everybody that she CAN sing. I like the fact that it's very diffirent from The Best Damn Thing, because it wasn't that kind of record that showed what kind of artist Avril is. It didn't really do much for her to proove her singing. It's like a fun recors, electric guitars all over the place and yelling and stuff. (to be continued)

WOW! This is a great video review! I agree with you on most of the things you said. Like, when I first heard the album, I was like...this is boring. but then I couldn't stop re-playing it & now I like it. my faves are: "Smile", "What The Hell", "Wish You Were Here", & "Everybody Hurts" (*tears*).
