Inappropriate no, and yes- I really couldn't agree more, the stuff they put on Nickelodeon these days is poorly written, at least they put it more effort in David the Gnome.

I was also looking at it from a cultural perspective, the host introduces himself while he is taking a bath, that usually never happens in real life LOL.

I remember watching this on tv when I was little. I was asking some friends awhile back if they ever remembered this show from when they were little and they told me that I was making it up. Well HA! This proves that I was making it up. I love this show!

That is "The Noozles"! Pinky and Blinky. I could not, for the life of me remember much of that cartoon, except I loved it and learned the word eucalyptus. Then, I looked up koala cartoons and found episodes. Memories!

Yep, that is Tom Bosley!!  He did indeed play the dad on Happy Days. Whenever I'd watch that show I'd think of David everytime he talked! :)

nascargal, I whole heartily agree with you. i am a 22 year old male and I grew up watching shows like this. It is probably no wonder I am now an environmentalist and true lover of nature. I am truly saddened that kids don't have the opportunity to watch shows like this these days. I have so many warm memory of this show.

My daughter will be 21 in May. She grew up watching this show every day after Pre K and Kindergarten. This was a wholesome wonderful show for children..encouraging imagination and caring about animals and the environment. Too much commercialism and sexual inference nowadays. I so miss those times watching this with her. SIGH. Truly a great show.
