Yeah start at level 9 - 12k per tetris (4 lines in one go), no point in starting at bass level...

You should record that...the world record for the original 1989 Tetris for Game Boy is 593,286

Anything over 202 lines is incredibly good on the original Game Boy Tetris. I got 202 lines twice in my life. Getting a Game Boy just so I could play some more Tetris. People don't realize how different the original is. It's nearly impossible to go much over 200 lines. All other Tetris games are very easy in comparison.

you can have 200 points whit less than 100 lines if you want

If you start on Level one you will have roughly 1000 points per line by the time you get to 200 lines...it's a shame because 204 lines while starting on level 9 will put you up over 400,000 (assuming you play well)
