The D5000 didn't record any sound, sound was sent through a Line6 FloorPod and straight into my laptop.

The mic on the D5000 is horrible, so yeah this was my project for finding a better solution of recording my guitar playing, I think it turned out pretty good ^^,

Just read the description and understand that this was an experimental video to see HOW it would sound. Now I know.. And myself, I was pretty pleased with it compared to what I expected from using a stock line-in port on my laptop to record, I'm sorry you didn't feel the same way.
