Thanks 4 posting this vid! Jeff is amazing, hard 2 believe he is 63 years old. He's still as good as ever. There is no one like him and I am glad that I lived in an era that he existed in.
Interesting interpretation of the Peter Gunn Theme. I liked it a lot (as did the audience). Tal just brings it on bass and Jeff just lays the rest out.
OK! Technology point! With all the moving he does, why does he not have wireless for his axe? In the old days (auld?) wireless sucked, but now things are much better and while he does have the "box" step worked out so as to not fall on his duff - there is the vestigial cord.
You are sure right about that - I don't have a clue compared to him, but as you answered my clueless comment - thanks! (lol) It is the quality and Wireless just isn't up to that yet. Good to know...
I would not go so far as to say clueless. If he was in an arena or somewhere where the sounds a wash - then wireless and cable maybe would yeild little difference. I noticed that most of the players picky about their tone stick to cables
Ive seen him over 50 times the first in 1968 at filmore east and he is THE GREATEST without any question saw him at Newport Rock festival in 1969 he does things with the guitar others just dream about
@ithinki8dirt I was at that Newport show also. I remember being so thrilled Beck played Rice Pudding. That year they had tons of great rock bands. It was only a few weeks before Woodstock and the whole festival vibe was going strong.
Jeff was playing this on the fall part of his US 2006 tour. they were trying to do "stuff" on the road and this is something they bestowed upon their adoring fans. don't ya just love it? Jeff rules absolutely!
A beautiful rendition of Scottish One for sure. This tune is a great cap to the evening before Peter Gunn and is great because you get to see another side of his playing beyond blues and fusion. It sounded just as beautiful in Chicago last Friday, and thanks a million for posting it.

Sometimes I think he's better than Hendrix. But he developed his style much later.

@jjp4mma That's right, we are fortunate to be alive during Beck's lifetime and to be able to see him perform.

No wireless can give better signal than a good (not cheap) instrument cable. Sorry, bet Mr Beck knows a bit more these things than you....

Interesting, before I checked this tune out, I was just watching him in another and thinking the same,
I guess he figger's when he trips over his own cord it's time to quit..
thanks for the cable point,
thought wireless would be up to speed now, but not quite.

Scottish One is written by Dan Morrissey a guitarist/composer from London, UK! It was originally called "We Are What We Have Lost".
