  • My dear frien Eric "Joker" Barnes, i'm sorry that it took so long to write this but it was hard to finds the right words to say. The day I met you I knew that you were a good Airman. Although the two of us were on just a few missions together the laughs we shared will forever be in my mond unforgetable. I wish I was there at your funeral to bid you farewell. I was told that I would have been proud of the honor and respect that was paid to you and your family. R.I.P my brother

  • No matter how we die our time on earth is numbered...Matthew 13:33, "But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come. Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come." Though we don't understand the will of God all we can do is make ready for our time to be taken on high...God bless rnrdpruitt

  • Eric, we rolled hard that night and did what we had to do. Not a day goes by that I don't think about that night and the sacrifice that was made. We all miss you, Eric.

    May the road rise to meet you,

    May the wind be always at your back,

    May the sun shine warm upon your face;

    and the rain fall soft upon your fields.

    And until we meet again,

    May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

  • I was deployed with Eric on his first deployment in the summer of 06. I was not surprised when I heard he volunteered to go back again only after a few months of being home, he was that kind of a guy. Rest in Peace friend.

  • My condolences to Eric's family and friends. He is a hero. May you find peace in your time of sorrow.

  • Everything they say about Eric is true. He was a great guy, in every sense. I attended his memorial service out in Kuwait. He touched a lot of lives, everywhere he went; a real inspiration. He will be missed.
