I nearly walked out - This IS a album of genius - so simple but beautiful - very easy to sing - this was the tour OF the album - so why did he not make a fair attempt to SING like he did on the album - Sad song...
Absolutely fantastic. I just wish he'd sing a little bit more in the place of the spoken word he tends to prefer. It works in some places, but doing it the majority of the time seems almost like a shame.
There's much to be said about this album. An album titled Berlin by an artist who at the time had never been there. Some say the most depressing album ever recorded . . .I say one of the most beautiful, one of the most moving, one of the most inspiring, a true work of art. Lou Reed is a real master, this world is lucky to still have him in it. My life is better for him being in it. Enough said.
Aw man, I'm getting the shivers again - the ones I had sat up in the circle at the apollo on Friday. Absolutely tremendous. Live music doesn't get more intense than this.
The Bed!

Because he's old and has lost his voice. It happens to everyone.

I really like it, but it is a very sad and desolate album, not something lively. Very moving though.
