@boxed2003 Dole does not exist any more. You have no evidence that these people are jobless. You assume they are from England, which would be quite insulting to those from Scotland. We are in a system where even having breakfast has a large carbon footprint mainly from fossil fuels. No one there looked bored. The argument that if the RBS had an ethical investment policy somebody else would fund the unethical companies leads only to the conclusion that everyone should think only of them self.

Did find something suggesting that their renewable energy investment represents 1 per cent of the amount they have invested in energy (the other 99 per cent being fossil fuel based - see The Scotsman) but will let that pass... boxed2003 and anwarsat, stop slagging off people with boring ill-informed stereotypes - have some balls, pick out real problems and stick to these (RBS funding renewables is a fine example).

Advocate as many people making pointless journeys across the globe to edinburgh... to protest about someone financing the fuel that will power your journeys? That's thinking with your head.

What is the absolute best case outcome that you think will be achieved? The RBS crew will look out the window and think 'oh actually we wont finance Kingsnorth' ? Even if you had a tiny chance of that happening (you dont) there are 500 other institutions that would gladly step instead.

Coal deposits under the north of england are formed from ancient tropical forests, yorkshire now is not tropical.

Sea levels 10,000 years ago as with temperatures were significantly lower than they currently are, the UK was connected to mainland europe and the mediterranean was so small you could effectively walk between africa and italy.

You must read up on these things before you post such ill logic.
