I played WOW from the release, And i also played Aion from the release.
I still play WOW and left Aion about 2 months after the release bored as hell and sick off Nsoft. Aion was had protential to grow to be the next leading mmorpg after the starting point of the game it almost looks like a 6 year old desinged the place, not to mention the stolen content of other games including wow. Aion is a fake. A scrapyard of parts of other games. even a free game like Cabal has better gameplay.

i actually played WoW for 2 yrs and got boring after u reach lvl 50+ but Aion on the other hand is better with the graphics and more fun. u need to let go of wow if ur playing it and actually try out aion, everytime u lvl up it gets more fun especially once u hit 10 :D
you've obviously never played wow if you think 1-40 are the funnest lvls... you cant even do anything from 1-40. @soltero5yo Completely Agree with you. With each expansion Aion gets better and better, where as with WOW it got worse. My opinion is formed after playing WOW for 4 years on and off with expansions. While playing Aion a year and a bit later post the launch of the game to see the drastic improvements the game has undergone.
Aion has some amazing graphics and special effects...but sadly that's all it is; graphics and special effects. It lacks substance and can become very boring at end game and once a player have mastered a class. So I wouldn't quit a another game to play this.
if ur more of a dot and kite class i would go for a spirit master. i think they would be easier to level p than a sorcerer, but i prefer crowd control and casting big nukes.
if (and im sure judging by a lot of ppls comments i think a lot of u are) ur looking to compare sorcerer to a wow class i would say it was a combo of all specs of mage, balance druid and ele shaman. and its nice that you dont end up spamming the same spell constantly

I hear it's like mage in original wow: you do more damage than other people at the cost of wearing paper thin armor and having more escapes than people have closers. Not current wow where you hit less than autoattack with frostbolt and can't effectively kite when other classes have more powerful snares and closers to your escapes.
i am playing a sorcerer and i must admit it is very good fun. a true glass cannon class. which means it takes a decent bit of skill to play well as a bad pull can mean ur dead and dying a lot is costly.
im only lvl 18 but allready have a lot of direct damage / dot / snare / knockback / immobalize spells to chose from. when soloing if you get youre rotation right it is very satisfying. (dont forget to sleep / root any other mobs that might get pulled :p) cant wait to see the higher levels

the mage is what you just seen here called a sorcerer. The class that most resembles the warlock would be called the spirit master... they have long range elemental dps plus a little side kick.
Combat is smoother then it looks having come off the BEta. Also yes combat does look static, because this video is a pve video. If you want to see pvp movement from this game I suggest you look at the aerial combat pvp or group areas.
i'm sorry but no, I have seen the max lvl on this game and the gameplay is to slow...I just don't see how people will be able to play this more than a day with all those effects it is cool, but srsly...it slows down combat way to much and is just plane BORING
the videos make it seem so, but the actual game play would amaze you, i had an amazing fight with a sorcerer from the ground then ariel, it was kick ass.
those spells can be cast once every 2-5 min.. it's such a cheat that they have showed off these as the introduction, since you will only rarely see them compared to the normal more boring spells :P
k i've made up my mind ...it was between templar assasin ranger or sorcerer ...and im def going with sorcerer...cant go wrong with magic and flying =D

IT extremly easy to play the class -.- dot, summon flying fireballs ( and ofc send pet on) and kite
if you realy wanna nuke like in duel you just do the same and witht he dots on you start casting some direct spells when you can

Hmmm, had been thinking about a sorc or a ranger (even assassin came to mind a few times) but as many people would say from looking at these new intro vids "I have made up my mind." :)

the mage is what you just seen here called a sorcerer. The class that most resembles the warlock would be called the spirit master... they have long range elemental dps plus a little side kick.

Combat is smoother then it looks having come off the BEta. Also yes combat does look static, because this video is a pve video. If you want to see pvp movement from this game I suggest you look at the aerial combat pvp or group areas.

Imo combat is the same pve wise as any other mmo. When you do level up later in the pvpve sections it is very exciting including ariel battles.

i'm sorry but no, I have seen the max lvl on this game and the gameplay is to slow...I just don't see how people will be able to play this more than a day with all those effects it is cool, but srsly...it slows down combat way to much and is just plane BORING

the videos make it seem so, but the actual game play would amaze you, i had an amazing fight with a sorcerer from the ground then ariel, it was kick ass.

those spells can be cast once every 2-5 min.. it's such a cheat that they have showed off these as the introduction, since you will only rarely see them compared to the normal more boring spells :P
