  • Personal trainers are often nutritional dummies, and chiropractors are often quacks, but they have their limited place.

    Fruit is the most natural food on the planet(and the most abundant). And when you think about it, it's obvious we're meant to eat it:

    the shape of our hands,

    the color(and not all animals see in color, but we do,

    our "sweet tooths".

    For 15 years I've been eating 11-16 fruits a day, and I'm really thin: nothing but muscle, bones and veins.

  • Sugar raises the blood sugar level, and if does not burn off, it is stored as fat. But eating protein with a sugar/based keep the blood sugar from spiking.

  • the body basically runs on sugar ... all carbohydrates are broken down into glucose before they can be used for energy ... so it's not the sugar in fruit that's bad ... but i do think it's very easy to consume a HUGE number of calories in a fruit drink ... greens are less dense in calories ... i've noticed i can't lose weight if i eat too much fruit ... but i think it comes down to the math ... it's just too many calories (those fruit smoothies are so good though!) ...

  • Green smothies are the best wat to stabalize your blood sugar. Watch the movie Raw for 30 days. It show how diabetic can eat 100 raw and stop thier meds. Proof that fruit is not the enemy!

  • I don't think that fruit is th enemy at all. I just think I may be eating too much of it rather than balancing it. Of course, if I do blow it...I will confess. I think I am surrounded with so much support that it is becoming easier. However, I am human.

  • The natural sugars found in fruit are easily recogonized by the body. They are nothing like processed "dead" surgars witch the body rejects. They do NOT impact your body like processed sugar Even if you follow the Glycymic index it does not take into account the fiber in fruit Look at ALL raw foodies who have done it for a long time. If anything the FRUIT has revitilized thier bodies through LIVE enzymes.

  • So good for you for sicking to it! Video confessions SUCK! I know I have done more than one of them. If you do mess up though DO confess it is much easier to get back on track!

  • I switched to savory smoothies and I think they give me more consistent energy. The one I am drinking right now is really good. It's about 5 stalks of celery, 1/2 red bel petter, 1 green onion, 1.5 cups zucchini (my zucchini is as big as my thigh so I just cut a big piece off), one small avocado, 1 bunch parsley, a bit sea salt and cayenne, chia seeds stirred in so I have something to chew. It's really great after my walk and it doesn't slow me down like the fruity green smoothies. Great video!

  • Wow, that sounds like it is very satisfying. I'll have to check it out. I have some of the ingredients, but I'll go pick up the remaining ones. I've never used chia although I know many people love them and their health benefits.

    I JUST WENT TO SCHOOL TO ENROLL FOR MY JUNIOR YEAR 'WOOT WOOT' BUT I STILL HAVE A WEEK BEFORE I HAVE TO GET UP EARLY FOR SCHOOL.
