  • RIP Tim Russert. I don't think I can say anymore than we lost a great person that day in 2008. I have not watched Meet the Press since the tribute they did to him on that Sunday following his death.

  • This is the guy who got killed for bringing up skull and bones with bush and kerry right? Lol I hope people remember those two because now they're here again as Perry and Romney.

R.I.P. to a guy with balls

  • He was all about simplicity. Pull out a white board or a Owls sign. Ask atough honest question.

  • R.I.P.

  • Such a loss. Journalism died with Tim Russert.

  • @olentangy74 My father was very sad when Tim died. He was a great journalist and great host of Meet The Press. He knew how to grill the folks that came on: reporters, pundits, and politicians of course. He knew how to get them to be honest which is so important when it comes to news. Journalism is not dead, it's just different and a little scary now but it can become great again I think that's what Tim would want. I just hope my dad is with Tim if there is an other side.

  • RIP Tim...still missed to this day!

  • I really wish that Tim Russert lived to make it to see the Obama election. I wish that his son was the moderater of Mee The Press.

  • @heavenshaffer I wonder what Tim would ask President Obama if he were alive right now.

  • Who is the man at the beginning of the clip because I'm not really sure

  • @westlifefan123 Brian Williams

  • Tim was the only one who had enough courage to ask about such things as skull and bones. And he asked both sides and both men reacted the EXACT same way when questioned----good for him!!

  • I walked into the VFW Post and they had golf on and then Tom Brokaw broke in and we couldnt belive what we herd .

As someone who is involved in politics

    We still miss him

  • I want to be Tim Russert.

  • I cannot go to your page to view ignorance on behalf of those whom may feel that this topic is a joke. Any violence against a child is something I cannot watch or hear about. I know the madness that takes place in this world. And, one day LOVE will prevail. In the meantime, the innocence of our children is being harmed on a daily basis. They need our protection and love. My heart aches for them.

  • O'Reilly, ...Olbermann, ...Hannity, ...Beck...(Even Gregory), --NO ONE CAN HOLD A CANDLE TO OR EVER COME CLOSE TO TIM RUSSERT. :-(

  • Boy do I miss Tim Russert, growing up in the 60s and 70s I was weaned on Cronkite, Brinkley and the great Eric Sevaried. These crackpots today make me sick, hannity ,o'reilly, cooper, mathews, olberman limbaugh and glenn beck are not journalists or newsmen, they are hacks who spit there hate and vitriol nitely to an audience who instead of being educated are being brainwashed into believing what the rupert murdocks of the world want them to believe. I will go on believing what I think is right.

  • I just read BIG RUSS & ME..Tim loved his dad so much!

Ironic he talks about his mom praying to St Anthony when something was lost, and Tim died on feast of St Anthony, June 13th..a year ago tomorrow.

RIP Tim, you were one of a kind!!

  • Thanks, Tim. I love you, even though I hate our country's politics. RIP, brother. I'll never forget your chalkboard in 2000.

  • RIP Tim Russert. Amazing Person.

  • What a huge loss!! Smartest man ever.

  • What do you mean?

  • Rest in peace... Tim.

  • God bless you Tim,

Thank you for your wonderful reporting and tough questions.

Hope your waiting by the pearly gates for us when our time is up.

  • Russert was the man. He was probably one of the most unbiased people out there. Everyone in the media should strive to be more like him.

  • I wish Tim Russer's soul an eternal and blissful rest.

I think most of the fascination with him comes from the press, not the public. He was obviously well-respected and loved but I always thought his interviews were full of softballs and inane at worst. Frankly I never thought of him as a particularly good reporter.

The press is a brotherhood and when one passes away the rest rally around the fallen. Since we get our news from them his myth gets overblown.

  • RaffLE!!!

    XD

  • TAKE A SEAT OVER THARRRR

  • Mr. Russert was great at what he did, and was not scared to ask the questions nobody else had the nerve to ask.

I really hope Luke will follow in his fathers footsteps.

  • The media hoopla over Russert's death was unbelievable. There were more programs, more attention, more bullshit that you would expect for a head-of-state.

    And why?

Because Russert was a major player in the MSM. He was one of theirs. This hoopla does more to prove the narcissim and egotism of the MSM than anything else I can think of.

  • Happy St. Valentine's Day to Big Russ, Ms. Russert and Luke.

Intelligent, caring and respectful American citizens miss Tim.

  • I miss him.

  • I preferred Tony Snow. Those who knew both preferred Tony Snow too.

  • This is probably one of the most erratic and enigmatic statements I've ever read here on youtube. I assume you don't know what you're talking about?! It's like comparing apples and olives.

  • How is that comment erratic? He was expressing an opinion.

  • He or she compared apples with oranges. Tony Snow was highly opinionated and clearly had a biased agenda, whereas Russert didn't put politicians on the spot according to their political views but only when he saw that they weren't serious about doing good for this country. It's like comparing Roger Federer and Kobe Bryant. It just doesn't make sense. So this is why I called the xpression of this opinion erratic.

  • Erratic:

    1. Having no fixed or regular course; wandering.

    2. Lacking consistency, regularity, or uniformity.

    3. Deviating from the customary course in conduct or opinion; eccentric.

  • BITCH STOLD MY YOSHI

  • Is that really necessary?

  • FUCK FUCK BITCH FUCK

  • please dont overhype a guy who just told the news...his family n close friends loved him..but as for the public..give it a fucking rest...he told the news!!! thats it...end of story....someone else is doing the news now..get over it..he died..we all will die...he doesnt belong on a higher level...stop buying the lie..nothing special....hes a fucking run of the mill newscaster!!!!!! no i wont tube battle you back..

  • Tim was The Best.

  • testing

  • xD!!! Look at the Video Responses.

  • He was a decent and humble man. A true intellectual who provided insight and knowledge into our ability to understand politics. He will be missed.

  • We need a man like Tim right now to ask all the right questions about this economic fiasco we are being forced to live through.

  • Russerts son is a punk. When asked where he was when he heard about his fathers death he responded by saying he was at a bar in Italy. What the hell was he doing at a bar in Italy? Spending his old mans money? Then NBC gives the peckerwood a job prending to be a "journalist". The circle jerkin' that goes on in that business is something else.

The upside of the entire mess is we no longer have to live in fear of another one of those horrible "Big Russ" books.

  • they where all in italy celebrating his graduation from college. russert went back early to get some work done and died

  • tim, you were a TRUE journalist. the rest of you are whores! and i apologize to the whores i know.

  • I did like that guy......May his soul R.I.P

  • With Tim Russert gone, there is NO reason to watch NBC for anything.

  • hey nice videos check out my video

i have more that are coming

comment rate share appreciate subscribe enjoy

  • lol brian williams is probably laughing his ass of when hes not reading a teleprompter i bet through the whole thing hes thinking "glad that fat sack of shit is dead now he can eat all the fucking twinkies he wants in hell"

  • ...No. No, no, and no.

  • OH NO!!! Can anyone else read a teleprompter?!!

  • This video is great. You all should check out Vthov. He's a nobody right now, but I think he's going places for real. Search "Vthov Obama Inauguration Song". You'll see what I'm talking about.

  • This is all good, but have yall heard of vthov? Search "Vthov Obama Inauguration Song" This cat is going to be huge. Raw lyrics and he makes his own beats which are also fiyah. See for yourself if you don't believe me.

  • this is a geat video. OMG

  • Wow this youtube video is really good. I give this video all stars! haha That&TBPSQUOs really interesting. This made me feel better. haha

  • fuck

  • Mr. Russert was a fine human being.

  • this video is about honoring Tim, take the negative comments elsewhere.

still hard to believe he's gone, he'll always hold a special place in the heart of us western new yorkers, and millions more, for sure.

    go bills.

  • its a great day for america when a fat liberal pig dies his immoral sins finally killed him for hating god and america he is burning in hell right now

  • may Karma pass through you like the wind to our backs!

  • Do you really believe in politics???....

  • Happy Amnezic Dj New Year 2008

    General Public;

    Do you believe in Miracles?

  • A political journalist, whose voice was sorely missed this election. How he would have loved being here this November. We miss you, Tim. For videos of that sad time last June when we lost Tim, go to youtube/riptimrussert

  • I really miss Meet the Press with Tim Russert. One of the only truly reliable sources left on the planet. His story is so inspiring.

  • 825810

  • tim russert graduated from my high school

  • whoop-dee-fuckin'-doo. Want a cookie?

  • no.

  • 'kay.

  • May you find peace Mr. Russert and may you also,

interview some interesting ghosts now that you've passed on.

    You will be remembered forever.

  • Tim Russert: Why I treasured him

    1: Great deductive reasoning skills.

2: Reminded me of Joe Friday from Dragnet TV show, "The facts Ma'am, only the facts".

3: A true gentle man with the Irish Blarney.

    A powerful common sense teacher

We American's have lost a great Man

  • America lost one of our greatest treasures! Excellent post Mary! Everyone has different opinions, however, I cannot fathom why some always have to resort to foul language. And I would love to hear some of those interviews with ghosts that have past on.

  • I can't help but dream about what a golden opportunity we missed by not getting the chance to see Gov. Sarah Palin being grilled by Tim Russert on Meet The Press. What an interview THAT would have been!

  • I know that many of you believe that there is no such thing as a conspiracy theory, but it's deaths like this... to people like this that really makes me wonder... Could there be...?

  • We'll miss you Tim, you're the best and the only one.

  • Look I loved Tim Russert. He didn't come from the "establishment" Every Sunday he Sat in his big ass chair and put the Leaders of the Free World 's ASS's to the fire. No Matter the issue he took the other side and held their feet to the fire. This is a much scarier world to live in today without him. Nobody, Nobody did it better and the world is much worse off without him

  • he was the only journalist I had respect.. rip...good people always live short...

  • Why didn't YouTube feature a video about Tony Snow? He had a good personality fought a tough, public battle against cancer. Is YouTube showing their liberal side yet again?

  • perhaps it was because he was the mouthpiece for arguably the worst president in history. one responsible for unimaginable debt, the starting of a war on bogus intel, the outing of a CIA agent for a husband calling them out about it, the wiretapping of american citizens, the torture of god knows how many people, the denying of habeas corpus, not mention his involvement with the good ol boy network of Enron and Haliburten. but hey im sure he was a nice guy......

  • fordc69...nice to know that your a little Ikeman nazi solder for the liberal media. Your mother would be proud.

  • And Tim Russert is a liberal how?

  • god or no god, this man was a grate man

  • well shit, now im sad

  • liberal piece of lard i guess even his own organs couldnt withstand the massive amounts of democratic bullshit flowing through his fat veins

  • its truly saddening that there are people in the world like you, the fact that you could say such terrible things about a man you, I assume, have never met. I am a hardcore liberal but I could never imagine thinking such a thing about George Bush or Dick Cheney.

  • saying that he doesnt know him doesnt mean anything, nothing he said was a "personal" attack, he was attacking his politics, which deserve to be attacked due to putting America into ruins

  • how is a liberal peace of lard isn't personal?

any attack on a single person is personal!

that's like saying if I called you a fucking lunatic and saying it wasn't personal it was just an attack on your intelligence!

  • damn right faggot bush and cheney are american heros who won the war on terror just sit back and whine about gay rights us conservatives will protect america

  • We miss you, Tim. Rest in Peace.

  • He was just another reporter murder doing his job.May he be remembered as a man who didn't play with the truth but met it head on with no playing around. You will be missed.MSJR

  • I Agree with you.

  • Small world. Who would think the man my Grandpa Taught to be a preacher boy would end up being my hero, the man of meet the press,

    :]

    god bless edward od'nell

    god bless tim russert. :]]

  • Is that what you call yourself when you still believe in fairy tales? If that is the case I will gladly refer to myself as a child.

  • Your both wackjobs, you both believe in a magical "sky-daddy" that no one can see or prove the existence of. Wake up, you stupid bastards.

  • go to hell.

  • I'm sure you would like to see that wouldnt you? another christian damning someone one they have never met. Big surprise.

  • Now we have David Gregory...he absolutley carries the left wing agenda! He sucks. I loved Russ Jr.

  • why don't you watch FOX if you don't like your so-called left-wing agenda reporters.

No one spews lies and missinformation like them. They are the large part of the evil American nazi christian agenda!

  • fox and nbc are on the same level of hypocracy and idiocy fox spreads the right wing and nbc spreads the left wing yet over all every channel has bashed bush even unfairly at times i disagree with both parties on many front but in reality i would say im a bit more conservative then liberal

  • Thank you for this video. Tim Russert did his job better than anyone ever could.

  • Nobody can take his spot, no one...

  • bill o reillys a way better reporter than this fat liberal douchebag

  • you may not like mr. russert, but please show some respect for a great american who has passed on.

  • great american!? this man did nothing but undermine the bush administration trying to get more americans killed so he and his cohorts could say the iraq war was wrong. conservatives are fighting the war liberals want us to lose and die there

  • Obviously, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

  • obviously you and osama bin laden are gay lovers

  • the Iraq war was wrong. and looking at your response to kraj, youll be voting the party line the rest of your pathetic uneducated life. where you from texas or alabama? lol read a book

  • Okay you know what? You can take your fucking critiszum and shove it up your ass kay This man; was amazing; a little boy from buffalo who grew up in buffalo and stayed true to his roots as he fought his way to the top, this man was once a little preacher boy; wanna know who taught him my grandfather so i hop young man when you die both him & my grandfather give you a bit iof south side buffalo; bill o riely is awesome; but you obviously have no clu bout tim. i am 12 and i know more. you gay cunt

  • how ironic he grew up in buffalo and he died like a buffalo choking on his own immoral life and his sinful decisions oh the fires of hell are searing him right now

  • You must really like this guy if you keep on coming back to this video;

  • i keep coming back to respond to your sinful comments my misguided lamb

  • R.I.P Tim.

  • Labeling you a wackjob is not persecuting you; it is just me catagorizing you; correctly, too because you are delusional to compare yourself to the savior of mankind. In my mind, only a wackjob would exhibit such delusions of grandeur as you do. Jesus will judge the world, not a wackjob like you. Have a nice life:)

  • You are a wackjob; its as simple as that. The parable in Luke was not to be taken literally[you know, because it was a parable]. You should get to an hospital as soon as possible, to remove the log from your eye. You'll need help, you've jammed it in much too deep to pull it out by yourself.

  • Here I must say that you are twisting the scriptures to bolster your self-righteous viewpoint; anyone with a discerning eye can see that Isaiah 64 is a prayer of penitence by the Israelites; it is not a commentary or condemnation upon everybody elses' good works. Your views are far too narrow and self righteous for me to bother with further. May I suggest that you read Luke chapter 6,in particular verses 37 through 42.Take these verses to heart, and try real hard to remove the log from your eye.

  • Well I haven't a clue who is right, because you make just as much as the other nuts. So I'm pretty much guaranteed to go to hell. But if anyone in this world is going to heaven, it's Tim Russert. Every Sunday I watch "Meet the Press" and every Sunday I mourn his death. A tribute to Tim Russert is not an appropriate place for this type of commentary. I wish you would have the courtesy to respect those that mourn, rather than trash the faith of others.

  • If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but decieves his own heart, this ones religion is useless

  • I really don't think that you are competent to decide whether I need saving or holy spirit to see things your way; I accepted Jesus Christ as my saviour 41 years ago and I daily pray for the Holy Spirit to guide me and give me wisdom. Narrow indeed is the road to salvation, yet James chapter 2 states that faith and works are needed. In verse 12, James says that judgment will be without mercy to anyone who has shown no mercy; 26 says faith without works is as dead as a body without the spirit.

  • I'm confused by your reasoning; are you trying to say that because Tim Russert was Catholic that he didn't accept Jesus as the saviour of the world? At verses 16 and 17 it states that God didn't send the Son to condemn the world, but to save it. I do not agree with many of the teachings of the Catholic Church, personally, but I still consider it a "Christian" Church, as much as any other.I have never seen any church thats follows in Christ's footsteps perfectly; we are all imperfect and sinners.

  • I am not and never have been Catholic; however I do know that when a Catholic is confirmed, he or she becomes a soldier of Christ, accepting Christ as Saviour. Tim Russert was devouted in his faith; I do not worry or wonder about where he is at present; certainly not in torment because of your narrow-minded position. Setting yourself up as someone able and worthy to condemn people to Hell because they don't agree with your theology would seem to indicate that you have Godhood delusions.Get help!

  • he got wat he deserved

  • I miss Tim, I would have loved to see his reactions to the election.

I always wanted him to run for president.

  • you r grim

  • If you claim to be saved and from the sounds of it you know your going to heaven, then pull out a gun and blow your head off. Regardless of what happens your saved right. And you also claim it aint to late for me, but what I find funny about your people is that none of you know when the due date is. 2 years form now your going to be saying "its not too late for you" 5 years "its not to late" you dont even know I bet. Your christen religion is nothing but a joke.

  • Nope, I believe Tim Russert is in heaven, with all the saints and god. I also know god made him head of his Heavenly news station up there. Your one pathetic Chriatian for pashing a dead mans name. Tim was a caring loving father and son who loved his family and if you dont know the meaning to that well then you one sad human being. Take you Christian beliefs and preachings down to hell you bastard!

Our country has lost a true American treasure Rip in peace Tim Russert.

  • Nobody cares.

  • Much love from a fellow Buffalo Bills fan....
