  • My local TJ Maxx has them for $5.99 regular price. I will wait for it to be $3. LOL

    Thanks for the review.

  • 6:41

Yes, Jack. It IS too fuckin' runny.

  • If he had known to put 4 or 5 marbles in the container, that would have aerated the mix as he shook it.

  • i never do it according to the box its always too runny, maybe try it making it a thicker batter?

  • you always complain about how bad products are when you're not even using them correctly. This guy needs to get off youtube

  • less water less mixing!

  • you're not suppose to write with it -_____-

  • The heart looks more like Abraham Lincoln to me

  • Just buy a squeeze bottle.

  • lool why doesnt he make a thick batter

  • dont blame the bad directions on the packet on the pen

  • You always complain about everything, its annoying!

  • its like magic! when its the bowl its RUNNY and then somehow when you put it on the griddle its TOO RUNNY STILL...

  • Why the fuck would you pay 5,99 for that thing... you could buy a water bottle with one of the sip things for a buck...

  • I've always wondered is why do you have a washing machine and dryer in your kitchen?

  • @zDiqualify no room for it anywhere else, pretty common for people to do that

  • You did a ''just add water'' recipe... WHY?!

  • 6:38- he says, "uhhhhgggg. its too fuckin runny."

  • @XCisAwesome Lol he said "freakin runny"

  • I think you are missing ingredients like eggs and milk.... Eggs help to bind the batter together making it thicker, plus its always nice to add in vanilla and such. Doesn't really look like a good pancake mix if you just add in water lol I can guarantee that if I put my pancake mix in there, it would actually work the way it was intended. Maybe get a new mix that calls for better ingredients like eggs, etc. and try this again.

  • woooow why would you make pancakes with water?! why not be a fat guy and use butter milk!

  • @filbum The mix usually has buttermilk already in it.

  • The 2 seemed to work I just think you should give it more test to draw with.

  • fail is you making a shit batter and not having a good hand to draw xD

  • Did you guys like not listen to him at all? He made 2 batches of the batter, one in the pen and one in a different bowl. The one in the other bowl looked perfect, and not runny at all. Once he put it in the pen, it was too runny to control, so obviously its not him thats faulty, its the pen.

  • @mehandstuff fuck your feelings dont hate on someone who's more successful than you dipshit i bet your fatass sitting on your computer playing games you fucking looser fuck your life

  • ur fault for making it too runny

  • jack, you soo did this on purpose! you were hatin' on that pen since before you tried it. so you didnt bother to use common sense and make the batter thicker -.-

  • @mehandstuff wow that was deep

  • maybe i'm being dumb here but could you not just use an empty sauce bottle or a drinks bottle with a sports cap to dispense the batter rather than paying like £10 on this product?

  • @Mehandstuff Omg harsh LMFAO

  • @Mehandstuff I love you

  • @Mehandstuff You are rude.

  • why can't u just use a zip lop bag or something and write with that

like what u would do with frosting?

  • I'm sorry Jack, I am a little confused. The batter being runny has noting to do with the product. Add less water.

  • we love a tighter bottom ;)

  • u need to use less water. even without that i use less water then they say to most of the time.

  • Haha just mix your batter in a bowl and use a ladel. Who comes up with this shit?

  • can you test the "slice-o-matic" veggie slicer????

  • this product deserves a new review! with a much thicker batter...

  • love the new intro

  • 6:40 ''its too fucking runny'' XD

  • You shook it too much. The key with pancakes is to beat your batter JUST until it is mixed (like 10 seconds)

  • how can the pen be responsible for the runniness? redo this jack with a real pancake recipe

  • if you place the pancake mix in a coffee filter and then fold and slide it works great

  • @roundthewldin3clicks that actually seems pretty smart

  • The product seems totally redundant...

  • wow this was on my birthday and black friday

  • Perhaps you could just use a protein shaker. The bottles have a little piece that is used to break up the clumps when mixing the shake.

  • I've always found my pancake mixture too runny due to there being more water, or less mixture, than there should have been. But, that's only me. Can't wait for your next review! :)

  • Comment removed

  • The reason why it was so runny is because you didn't use any eggs. It makes it easier to use.

  • yea thats true twiz. i use it and my shapes and #come out fine :)

  • Jack if it was to runny that was your fault on making the batter.

  • i have that lol

  • omfg you guys he says its to fricken runny jesus christ -_-

  • yeah frankly this wasn't the products fault the batter was simply too runny. That honestly looked like you were making crepes lol

  • you're supposed to make the batter then pour it into the pen. "That is why you fail."

  • 6:40

    "Ahh...It's too fuckin' runny..." Ummm...

  • at around 6.40 are you saying "Ahh its too fucking thin?" hahaha

  • You make pancakes with milk not water...

  • @G0DzSC0PE its actually just a personal preference. Nothing less and nothing more. Neither of both is wrong.

  • 6:39 it to fucking runny edit a little better next time

  • That is why you fail.

  • this is epic meal time without the jack daniels and with only 1 guy

  • Dear Jack

    Your amazing,

    Yours Truly,

    The world

  • Comment removed

  • that shit fail !

  • well, the runny batter isnt really the pens fault. lol.. make it thicker?

  • @Veronor93

Thats what I was going to say! If you wanna write with it make the mix thicker!

  • @AngryMonkey007 yeah, i was like "don't blame it on the pen, dude! fix your damn batter". haha. i understand that they give some bad information in the intructions, but you can make the batter how you like it anyways.. lol

  • Dude, the batter being too runny is your fault, not the pancake pen's, so just add less water, nd if you want to mix the batter in the bottle, try adding the water first.

  • @nickmich1001 He followed the directions exactly, maybe doing it another way would make it work better, but the company could put the correct directions with the product.

  • @nickmich1001 Actually, it is possible for the runny batter to be the products fault. Since it says you can make the batter in the actual bottle, it probably wont have the same effect as wisking the batter together in a separate bowl. So no, it doesnt have to be his fault.

  • Good pancake dispensers go for $50 up, but none of them recommend mixing the batter in the dispenser for just the reason you discovered. And anyway, to get good pancakes you should be using eggs, milk, flour (of some kind), and baking powder, not mix.

  • May be just maybe since it failed you could use the bottle for excercise workout and jogging or fast walking to hydrate yourself always a use for something unuseful a good waterbottle! yeah Budd-dy

  • jack its Metal4ever1975 just letting you know im still watching your videos.

  • You ain't got no pancake mix.

  • tbh using "fake" batter(batter mix) makes it runny in my opinion...but tbh they should put a ring in the middle with fans to make it mix better...still i blame the batter mix over the pen....got a pen myself and homemade batter(witch normally is waaay ticker) works perfect

  • Maybe you forgot the eggs ????

  • @twiztid526 my comment is not flawed. I recall that when you watch a tv commercial, you do exactly what you see on tv, (which calls attention to buy the product) which is what I meant as in following directions.

  • I love how people are bitching that Jack did it wrong. Jack did not do it wrong! He used the product like any regular JOE would. Would you rather watch a review on this product from the person who invented it or what? Get a life, people!

  • @Aurorified you can't blame a product if it fails because another product you used with it failed. The batter failed, so the pen was unable to succeed, So we don't know if the pen works or if it doesn't work. So in fact, he did it wrong.

  • @djteac Jack made the mixture exactly how the Pancake pen told him to according to the instructions.

  • Doesn't look like you mixed the batter right. 2 thumbs down.

  • jack check these out they are supposed to make slushies in ike 6 mins or something you can probably do these in the product review category of your channel and there only like 9.99

  • Sorry Jack,

Your product reviews need to be more comprehensive and fair. You're gonna lose channel views and subscribers. This means less dough (no pun intended) for you!!

  • Some people who commented below do NOT give Jack enough credit. He is doing a review for our own good when we go shopping to buy products. Weather the product was good or not, he was following directions. These product reviews are great and keep up the good work Jack!

  • @priscillarod0819 how was he following directions when in most of his videos he says he doesnt read them and then throws them out? your comment is flawed

  • Does it really matter if he said Fucking or fricking? Really?

So what if he said fucking whoopdy doo an so what if he said fricking woopdy do!

    Larissa <3

  • im sorry jack i think you need to redo this product review with proper pancake batter you did not give this product the justification it deserves

  • Just stop doing reviews man, it's a cooking show.

  • @williamgag

too bad not everyone agrees with you. check out how many people put in their vote for the product review.

  • MAKE YOUR FUCKING BATTER BEFORE AND THEN PUT IT IN XD

  • First of all, you failed your batter, second, you suck at advertising man xD

  • If it was too runny you made the batter wrong...

  • You r always throwing away the directions to stuff and making me yell at the screen when u do...and now u read them....the one time it may have helped to not read them!!

  • I don't think this was a fair test. I have 3 brands of pancake mix in my pantry. Generic regular, Fiber One, & Krutzner 100% Whole Wheat. I guerentee if i followed the recipe u did i would get a completly diferent batter thickness with all 3. If they did not tell u a brand to use its not a fail...everybody is gonna put there fav. brand in there normal amount in it. Test it with your normal recipe before u say fail. The mixing part maybe failed but not the rest.

  • I think it would work better with a thicker batter, thats mixed in a bowl, then poured into the pen! Thanks for doing the review!

  • this video is why companies need to fool-proof their stuff, because there are fools out there who can't even make pancakes

  • @Evaporatorification sad but true

  • oh i love the intro jack that's tight i love it lol and hey i read ur comment about the responses about this product dang what a crapy thing to buy thing huh? dang retailers lol i'm so glad to see u still up and moving around and u seem alot more better and back to urself again :) that's good too because i have been watching u sinse ..oh snap i can't remember but that's ok what counts is that u got alot of fans that hella loves ur style and ur grove keep doing what u love to do :)

  • @TOXICFLOWZSHOW thanks. I will keep it going.

  • I don't know if you have them there but here we have a kind of pancake mix that you can buy that comes in a "pancake pen" shape so you just add water to it, shake it, and pour it. it also does not mix as well as you would want it to. I tried once and never again. ~Amanda

  • Does everyone say "Paincakes?" I thought it was just minnesotans.

  • It's not the thing's fault that your batter is super runny.. :O

  • add more pancake mix..........

  • its not the products fault you just need thicker batter yours is to thin :L

  • If I may interject, Jack. Have you tried using eggs in the mixture? that usually provides the thick texture you were going for.

  • As long as it makes a pancake i'm cool with it. Thank you for reviewing this Jack!

  • haha, This was great

  • Can you show us what pancakes look like when you're pouring them right your batter, so that we can see if it's just the batter that's runny or it's the fault of the product?

  • do a review on the blender ball ii think its a lot better

  • Even if the batter was thick, it wouldn't be the most accurate thing to write with, Just place the batter into a squeeze batter you see in resturants, becaue the nozle is very small, you'll be able to write with.

  • Comment removed

  • In the uk we have the pancake pen for £1 in shops

  • that measuring cup is for liquids,.....not solids

  • @josep3r3z if you measure solids by volume, then it doesn't matter. It only matters for Measuring cups when the solids are measured by weight (some measurement cups also have a scale for weight on them)

  • Unless the batter is VERY thick, then I don't think the Pancake Pen can 'write'. I bet most people were thinking that the Pancake Pen was capable of giving a constant stream of pancake batter. Problem is that when the stream hits the flat grilling surface, it immediately starts to pool or splatter elsewhere.

  • is ur son 12/ turning 12?

  • It seems like from the get go you were convinced that this would not work...

  • Whenever I make any kind of beverage where it's just the dry mix and water, I ALWAYS put the mix in after the water so that there's no clumping. My mom has one of these and it works fine.

  • LOL too runny = add more mix! c;mon bro!

  • why not just put inside a condiment bottle and squeeze it out that way.

  • Jack says freakin...

  • The batter is to runny? use less water Smh

  • I'm wondering if one of those red ketchup squirters would work better.

  • @MooseOfReason

probably because the nozzle is much smaller than the Pancake Pen from the looks of it.

I have a hunch that there's a rubber gasket in the Pancake Pen that controls how well the batter comes out (just like the rubber gasket on a bottle of Powerade drink).

  • @MooseOfReason those bottles (the ones you see in restaurants and such things, not the ones you actualyl buy ketchup in) are what we used for things like this in the kitchen. They are about 2-4 Bucks each and they last forever.

  • @MooseOfReason Probably too small, and they're pretty expensive.

  • @MooseOfReason Yes they do that is what I use for these projects!

  • @girliecurlz22 Thank you.

  • it's obviously the batter... not the pen.

  • jak I've never used this pen and would never use it, but I think that the problem is you butter and not the pen it self.. it should be thick,

  • Thought I heard jack swear. Still love the show jack, your reviews are hilarious.

  • youtube . com /watch?v=Nxok_XFt3es&feature=channel_video_title

this shows a condiment bottle is pretty good at making shapes =)

  • Definitely try homemade batter and not a store bought mix they are completely different from homemade and create a batter with a different consistency.

  • I'm not going to blame you for this,or the product.I find the "pancakes in a box"are always runny,so I make my own batter.Of course it takes more work and more ingredients, but it's well worth it.Maybe with a true home made batter the pen will function the way it's supposed to.

  • It's too fuckin' runny!!! @6:40

  • Homemade batter would have been better...plus its better than that boxed junk any day!

  • I also don't think this is fair because every batter isn't the same, and I don't actually think you did a very good job. It was like you made a mistake while pouring and then blamed the product. :(

  • @iPhTx3 Be that as it may with the batter not being thick enough the pen stated you could mix it inside the unit but failed to do that. The writing capabilities could have been better if the mix was thicker but he followed the directions for the pancake batter. It may state on the pen that you have to have the batter thicker but if it does not state that, it is the product's fault for bein misleading.

  • Well like caa1000 said no point in buying a bottle lol But what gets me is with all Product's people keep asking for him to do he gives us a $6 bottle that is pointless and we already know is kinda dumb -_- But still love jack =) Just not a fan for the wait and this lol

  • .... The reason is that you bought it at Ross.... I bought a coffee mug and i lifted it up and the top came right off, i mean, the store has great prices, but bad quality stuff.....

  • It isnt the pens fault that the batter was runny. Traditional pancake batter is thick thats what makes the cakes tall and fluffy. If the batter was thick then the pen would have worked and only have came out when you squeezed.

  • Usually, I do pancakes thicker and I would not spend 6+ dollars in bottles to pour in. Besides, you can go to a grocery store and buy the bottle with the pancake mix inside and cost like $1.49 or less! #EPIC #FAIL!

  • I think mixing it first befor you put in the pancake pen It would work better but that is just me.

  • I dont understand why everyone is giving you a hard time... yes it was to thin but you made it to the proper directions but on the other hand you have cooked long enough were you should have been able to make a batter that was the right consistancy so this product should work.. but another decent review good job Jack!!

  • It did what it's supposed to do, it's the pancakes which are problematic.

  • im sorry jack, but this one is on you.

  • next time make your pancake batter from scratch. being a chef and making up a box of pancake mix is just lazy, especially when the batter is so easy to do from the raw ingredients. it's just eggs, flour and milk, and you make it as thick or thin as you want it, and add raising agent if you want soft spongey pancakes, or make it thinner batter with no raising agent for crepes.

  • dude your technique is at fault here. you can't expect to get perfect pretty letters and numbers without practice. it's much like piping icing onto a cake... without practice, they'll look shoddy. The product is not at fault here.

  • I don't think that it was the product's fault that you batter was runny. The batter would have been runny even if it wasn't in the Pancake Pen.

  • Ah man. He said frickin'!

  • Around 6:40 I swear I heard Jack say "It's too fuckin' runny"

  • @roundandround14 listen again smart one he said fricken not fucken

  • @roundandround14 oh yeah he did :D I have my music running through a external mixer and can make the sound like 6 times as loud and I checked and he really does say it :D

  • @roundandround14 actually he says freaking :(

  • @roundandround14 he said its too fricken thin

  • @roundandround14 He said "freakin" I heard it 'cuz i got headphones on

  • @roundandround14 he said freakin

  • @roundandround14 its deffinatly to frikin runny, like freaking but missing sol syllables

  • @roundandround14 I distinctly heard too "frickin' runny"

  • @roundandround14 LMAO he did

  • @LarissaNicole1 lmao no he said friking turn your volume up
