The major tributaries of the grand River Humber are

SUNWACD from North to South in Yorkshire

Swale (going through Richmond), Ure, Nidd, Aire (going through Leeds), Calder (through Wakefield), and Don (as in Doncaster.)

The Calder doesn't flood very often and the City of Wakefield is sensibly built on relatively higher ground.

Well a year on and we are still dancing in shakey wakey. In answer to some of your questions guys. I'm glad i was not in that boat or the MG in the drink. Took me 20mins to get around tht, ended up driving past thornes park side entrance, and still had to go through a newly formed "Ford", i could see the water on my bonnet, bear in mind.... im in a tranny van!! lol got through it!!!!
