Wouldn't say Lawn Dogs is about forbidden love. Devon may be in love with Trent but I don't think Trent's interest in Devon is sexual (although everyone else thinks otherwise) - we see him become very uncomfortable when Devon wants to show him the scar on her chest, and earlier in the film we see him having sex with an adult woman.
