The other thing people never got in the movie is the fact Blade 1 is based on Egyptian mythology, particularly the telling of Set and Osiris; well, for one, Deacon Frost represents Set and Blade represent Anubis (according to the mythology, Anubis is the son of Set). Then as Blade (Anubis) grows up, he is adopted by a man called Whistler (Osiris), this also falls within the telling. In the movie, Deacon (Set) orders the murder of Whistler (Osiris), just like in the telling as well.

Only this movie and the sequel were the best in the series. The third movie did not live to the success of the others; in fact Kris and Wesley sued Goyer and the studio because much of the decision making they were not part of at all. The third movie needs to be remade as soon as possible. Much of the screen time was focused on the two actors Biel and Reynolds instead of the principle character played by Wesley. Wesley and Kris as well were disatisfied with too many characters in the script.

Blade 2 was the best one to me and blade didn't fall to far behind but trinity sucked ass. There's no need to mention the Twilight garbage in the same sentence with Blade; there's no contest. As awesome as the film was though, David S. Goyer's script for it was easily 5x better. They watered it way down in the film. Still rocked though.
