The US has no business passing resolutions on Iran. We need to stay out of other country's business. Besides, these people are hypocrites. This is the same government that passed a resolution fully supporting Israel's brutal invasion of Gaza.
Congratulations to ALL these congressmen for having the courage to pass yet another non-binding resolution. Have fun patting yourselves on the back while you eat your 'freedom' fries, you nationalist blowhards. The American people see through every last one of you.
It sounds like he is standing for the Iranian people but he does not. He is a right-wing Christian, and thinks the US is morally superior to the rest of the world. The only reason he is saying anything is because he is trying to embarrass President Obama.
Americans have plenty of platform to speak about the cause of liberty in other countries because they speak from experience. For instance in 1965, the CIA helped the army kill a million people in a coup in Indonesia. And in Guatemala, the green berets fought down rebels. It's clear Americans have the moral high ground in any conflict because they have compassion and liberty in their very hearts.
This isn't Pence you idiots! He doesn't work his own webpage. He's too busy frequenting mosques, in order to better understand what he talks about. What, you think he's just talking out of his ass? freedom. freedom. freedom. freedom. freedom.
No doubt Congressman Mike Pence is responding to the demands of a HUGE Persian constituency in Indiana, with whom he empathizes. You'll see when he courageously speaks for Iran's right to a nuclear program in spite of the fact that there are tons of Republicans babbling on about weapons Iran doesn't even want.
I am confident that congressman Mike Pence is not the kind of political hack who would just grandstand in front of a microphone with a flag behind him. It's not about saying 'freedom freedom freedom' over and over again with an undercurrent of obtuse moral absolutism. He has consulted PhDs all over the country about Iranian history and spends hours with his nose in the books reading about the origin and evolution of Islam. His next project will be to condemn the violence in Israel.
the american cause is freedom, moral courage blah blah blah. what a cynical, opportunistic douche. does he know the CIA overthrew a democratically elected leader in Iran? What does he know about Iranian history and the people there? Here's my message to McCain, Pence and Republican party: SHUT THE HELL UP
The douche quotes Reagan but fails to mention that he illegally gave arms to Iran.

we should probably stay out of this issue.. the president should set the tone of foreign policy

I agree. He should set the tone of foreign policy because part of his job is to act as chief diplomat, but he has failed in doing that thus far.

Good luck to all the people in Iran, stay safe.
Americans understand what it can feel like to have your country ruined by arrogant loud-mouthed religious conservatives.

You coward. There are people who actually care about this issue. If you want to wrap yourself in a flag do it back in Indiana.

We ALL love it when congressmen get together to condemn things. For instance, just today they apologized for slavery in the US. So courageous.
