Ihope she does that. She could have have been a meaningful and serious artist. I have a couple of her new songs in my favourites for comparison. She has the same voice, but some of the comments responding to Dragonette are hilarious. Some people actually think she's a porn star turned singer. She'd made a name for herself in the UK, but she's off the map in Canada. I saw her just after she released her first CD and she was mesmerizing. She's gone Euro-pop and is probably making more money, now.

People in Canada know her as mMrtina Sorbara, and for music such as this video. They're not connecting her to Dragonette. She lives in the UK, now, and has a new personna. Her music does well there and his hit the charts. It hasn't here, yet. Her musical style has changed so drastically that those who knew her as martina Sorbara may not well recognize her now. You can't even find Dragonette's CDs in music stores in Canada.

I'll give you that; most poeple do not connect Martina Sorbara with Dragonette, but it's simply not true that her music is ignored her. I've heard Dragonette on the radio and even heard remixes of her songs and I bought her CD at HMV. The band has also been interviewed by local magazines and Dragonette has played sold out concerts in Toronto and was even at UofT's frosh.

I had to order a copy of Dragonette from HMV a month ago! I've never heard her music on local radio, but I have heard it on Virgin. I guess different times and different places? Just a thought though, Martina Sorbara used to open for the likes of Bryan Ferry, who was her champion. It's not happening now. She's playing small venues with her new band and they might sell out (and that would be a good thing) Peace to you. It's nice talking to somebody who knows her.

By selling out, I am referring to her original style and what she is now. She was honest, and now she's not, really. And i don't believe she's made a lot of money. She's always been the support band. She moved London to make a new srart in pop and that just didn't work out. I think, if she returned to her roots, she could make some money. Your French translates in an odd way, so I'm not sure what you mean. I enjoy Sorbara in this incarnation and wish she had just stayed with it.

No problem, it was the spelling that threw me. However, I'm not sure that Sorbara did that, at all. She sounds so great in this particular song that I wish she'd come back.

Love this song. Do not love the stuff she does with Dragonette. I thought she had a good thing going with her solo career, but she sold herself out to pop. This music was beautiful.
