why do people always seem to think that all suvs can drive in terrain.... they are not build for that thats why they are called (S)uburban. (U)tility. (V)ehicle
@TheBeeeee consider that these people are russians... they are animals not people. and they dont understand any language, nor any type of engineering. i hate them and you should too. IDIOTS GOD FUCKING DAMMIT
@93Thebear The problem with the XC90 is that most people have the 2.5T and it has insufficient power and torque to power the vehicle in these environments. Due to the lack of low range on this Haldex setup, this guy would need the V8 XC90 to really get around. You might be surprised at the offroad capabilities of the XC90 when it has sufficient power (T6 or V8)... I have a slightly lifted XC70 and I would have had no problem with these obstacles, & my Volvo is basically just a lifted AWD wagon.
@glsracer Interesting post. I don't offroad or tow or I would have bought the v8. It does seem that some xc90's do a lot better offroad than others on these youtube videos. I just thought it must be the tires or driver technique. It makes sense that a larger engine would help. I have the the 2.5T because, like all other Volvo 5 cylinder engines, it has great reliability and longevity PS-Don't buy the T6 engine under any circumstance. It's mated with a very bad GM transmission.
@outrigger777 Yeah tires have a lot to do with it, I think in this video, traction and the weight of the vehicle are an issue. Also you are correct that you should avoid the T6 version, however I should mention that the GM Transmission itself is not bad, it's that Volvo selected a transmission that was not capable of dealing with the power and torque of the T6 engine combined with the weight of the XC90. There are ways around these issues, performance rebuilds come to mind...

Анти-букс не срабатывает, да и как видно, мозги у водилы тоже!
Не позорь такую машину, и не садись никогда за её руль! )))
