  • Nice

  • This videos info is smoking crack!! My KA revs to 7300 rpms and has eaten any SR with comparable mods. I saved money on a "stock" SR and bought a fully built KA instead. Money well spent!!

  • sounds clean

  • @tapion123 SOHC KA's are raspy, DOHC sound alot different.

  • @delfartel their both raspy and i actually have a dohc ka and its raspy this isnt even a ka this is a sr20de they dont sell the ka24de in japan and theres no reason to import a motor that doesnt even compare to the 170hp naturally aspirated sr20de and trust me i think ive seen enough cars from oka chan (head tuner of yashio) to know that he wouldnt want an engine that has less rpm less capability and less hp makes no sense and it would be a lot of money to import a ka24de

  • @tapion123 It's debatable, depends on what kind of mods are done to the engine and the kind of exhaust. The KA24's that were put into 240's are made in Japan.... would be easy to get one. And the sr20de in the 180sx had around 140hp naturally aspirated. You can make the KA rev and it has more hp then a n/a SR20de, not to mention more torque.. Why would you need import a KA when it was built in Japan....

  • @delfartel where were they sold in japan? cuz i cant even find one on any japanese used car site all i see is ca18 n/a sr20 and sr20det they made the 180sx till 98 which is the same thing besides the engine as the 240sx but the 240sx was only made in left hand drive and nissan car names go by the liters of the engine not to mention the 2.4 liter block is the gm iron block used in such cars as the chevy s10 and some other small pick ups and cars

  • @tapion123 Did I say they were SOLD in Japan??? Incase you haven't noticed, 240's and 180's were both assembled in the same plant.. the KA24 put in the 240sx was assembled in Japan... If I want new parts for my KA24.. it HAS to come from Japan if its not in stock here. Whats so hard to understand? Also it isn't a GM engine lol..

  • @tapion123 Lololol, the KA24 is an Iron Block but it's not a GM engine. Again, they were built in Japan, not sold.

  • @delfartel and im not tryin to bust your balls its just i had no idea for the good part of 7 years that ive been into jdm that the 240sx was sold in japan

  • @delfartel and my friend has the single cam with no exhaust and it sounds like the same thing

  • this is an sr20 haha its just N/A haha and if it actually is yashio tuned then its a 180sx haha your retarted just listen to how smoothe that engine is ka is a lot more raspier with a civic sounding downrev and the KA isnt even sold in japan haha

  • still can't believe thats a KA motor!

  • what exhaust is this exactly? love the sound when pulling away..

  • rb25det FTW :)

  • Is the header on the left or right side of the engine (if your facing it from the hood) on a Ka24de? There are 2 things that look like headers.

  • @Thursday377 Mine is left side facing the hood from the front.

  • pink godzilla

  • Nice car!

  • SR all the way!

  • actually if i remember right....this was a long f'ing time ago.....they intended to use the ka24 but had to resort to keeping the sr20 to make a show deadline. I'm pretty sure there is some magazine articles in the old ricer mode super street mags.

  • LOL @ comments

  • If u guys wanna know both engines come from japan the KA24de is put in the nissan bassara a van here in japan and a couple of cars just so people know tha both these engines come from japan the us did not produce KA24de's

  • @Dkslong

bassara you say... ill look for that...

  • Now this car is in Lithuania and it still drifts, what is very nice look at driftmag.lt

  • @Budulis666

cant read lithuianese, can you tell me if its RHD or LHD?

  • @thanape its LHD now

  • no its not a single cam, both the sr20 and ka24 (any variations) are DOHC motors

  • @phillmill13

    KA24E

    KA24DE

    D = dual cam

    use the internet force!

  • i hear the 240 is a single cam?

  • @mattforce400

240's before 1991 were single cam, KA24E. Everything after 1991 is dual, hence KA24"D"E

  • @mattforce400

there are 240s with SOHC and DOHC motors in the US. KA24E or KA24DE

  • @thanape so KA's dont come turbo standard?

  • @mattforce400

No sir, not in the USDM 240SX -S13 and S14 were sold NA only.

  • @mattforce400 nope

  • @DOHCtorPhil this may be a very late comment but go to nismo.com youll find a cluster fuck of parts

  • Hello, I was wondering where can you purchase this muffler? What is the name of this exhaust series?

    Thanks!

  • Look at the classic 240 smoke!! lol Burnin oil like a motha!![[=

Beautiful from what I can see and hear

  • for anyone that might be thinking of buying this exhaust. i had one on my sr20 s13 and i must say, they are well worth the money. the only thing i dont like bout it is that yashio doesn't stamp their exhaust unless they are the titanium one. so with that in mind, if you want great performance with awesome sound get it but if u just wanna show off the brand then don't.

  • SR is only 5lbs lighter, big deal, that's the same broken record shit you hear from every SR Fanboy, least KA has solid 1 piece girdle, and oil squiters, it also has almost the same displacement as the straight six RB engines

  • Looking Good in Pink!

  • 2.0L < 2.4L there is no replacment for displacment. You can crame more air and fuel with a larger space.

  • The SR is lighter weight. It's better for drifting applications.

  • @yokosuberi

    thumbs up

  • @yokosuberi Actually a SR20DET can be between 3lbs. lighter to 9lbs. heavier than a stock KA24DE.

  • @yokosuberi

but the ka can handle more boost for longer periods of time. it's kinda personal preference

  • @yokosuberi also revs higher :]

  • @yokosuberi not really, its only an engine, theirs ALOT more at stake the njust weight.

  • @yokosuberi not to mention it can take high revs all day!

  • And I'm a purist..I like getting the engine that was made for the car. And the SR20DET can run 500hp on stock internals. .And it's WAY lighter. .

  • @Skatinsince1997 A turbocharger is a pretty good replacement for displacement...

  • @Skatinsince1997 Haha yeah, okay. Whatever you say!

  • @Skatinsince1997 the displacment difference is minimal....4 cylinder engines have been know to produce the same amount of power as a v8, which are sometimes more than twice the size....so saying a difference of 4 tenths of a litre is the deciding factor is absolute crap...lets take a look at these motors in their stock form....and see which is better...well for one the sr20 is a turbo PERFORMANCE ENGINE built for speed and tracking....basically built for 1 thing....to go fast

  • @Skatinsince1997 while the ka24 makes zero power stock and to turbo the thing safely to make ANY kind of power you basically have to built the motor, rods/pistons ect. ect.

call me crazy, but id personally take the PERFORMANCE BUILT ENGINE.....

  • @jhaze918 155 hp is not zero, its 50 less then the sr which is turboed and intercooled... and rods are forged in the KA, I haven't touched internals on my KA-T and it runs good on 8psi. I plan on upgrading the internals for more boost, if you want lots of boost you will have to upgrade the internals in the SR also.

  • @delfartel what size turbo?? what power to the wheels are you making???

  • @jhaze918 Just a stock s14 sr20 turbo around 250whp.

  • @delfartel I think you have the number mixed up.... try 205hp from a stock SR20det, n thats the japanese specs, in america its about 195 bc of all the emission bs.

  • @skanknstein13 I said I'm using the stock SR turbo on the KA, making 250whp.

  • @skanknstein13 Whats 195hp in america?

  • Comment removed

  • @Skatinsince1997 force induction and larger fuel injecters isnt a replacement?

  • @johngorgis you can buy larger injectors and turbocharge a ka24 dumbass.

  • @Thursday377 good luck finding aftermarket parts for the ka

  • @johngorgis are you kidding me? go to enjukuracing/fr sport or other. The Ka has a plethora of aftermarket parts.

  • @Thursday377 turbo and some intake and exhaust...mostly easy stuff....hard to find performance cams and cranks. But there are a few out there. Force induction is the easy route. But lookin to do an internal build on a KA is a bit tough

  • @bomiwonabi CP, Weisco, and JE all make pistons for the KA. those are like the 3 best companies there are. Eagle rods, Cometic or APEXi Head gasket, ARP Headstuds, Kelford Cams, Supertech oversized valves, valve springs, and titanium retainers. Those are all quality trusted companies that are extremely reliable. you really don't need to upgrade the crank, but Brian Crower makes one for the KA.

  • @johngorgis Lol you think its hard to find aftermarket parts for a KA?

  • LOL how!? It can run 500hp on stock internals!

  • Ka's do produce more torque because of he larger engine.. im not sure why you would pour more money to loose liters. well it is true that the SR20 has more aftermarket support, but you can get a decent build with a KA that would blow most SR's off the road for less money. But power and torque isnt everything ;)

  • Yeah, to me, I'm a purist. I like the SR20DET, one because it's the engine that was designed for the car. And it's much lighter. I go for weight and handling when it comes to cars. 220hp is perfect. That's my opinion. And their bullet proof. =)

  • @Jonathanowns The SR20DET is 9lbs. lighter than a KA24DE. Yeah, much lighter.

  • @Jonathanowns sr20 is out of s15 broski

  • @Jonathanowns not really ka is iron it is literally bulletproof....aluminum, not so much.

  • @Jonathanowns SR's are no-where near as strong as a KA block. Not to mention SR parts are overpriced because all these band-wagon JDM kids -the kind that kinda think like you- .

  • @entrymax I feel like the KA has a pretty damn good amount of aftermarket support at this point...

  • @entrymax the sr is alot lighter tho which does make a difference,

  • @entrymax drifting my friend,drifting

  • I love at how :17 the engine drops RPM and goes back up.

    Just like my KA!

    PINK FTW!

  • So sexy!

  • you faggot

  • Nah, You're the faggot.

  • dude that thing is fucking bad. ass.

  • @xraidedlok Yeah I love the pink and stock bumper. Body kits (except maybe the type-X aero) are for people who think the fast and furious was a good movie.

  • omg i love it, i had one question what colour is that like the exact colour

  • im getting that exhaust : )

  • I like when it echoes down the street ^_^ sounds nice!

can anybody tell which wide fenders those are?

  • A PINK 240 !!!!! no homo but I WANNA ROCK IT haha too bad its pretty hard to find s13 with a KA engine here =( we only got the CA18t, sob,,,,, but fuck yes JDMDA said it, only real men can have pink lol =D

  • I like the way it echoes rollin down the street, sounds so nice! ^_^

and check out those wide fenders :)

what brand over fenders are those?

  • KA-T > SR

    u know it

    wooot

  • this car now is in lithuania :DDDDDDD

  • sounds awsome

  • Wow Someone in Japan imports a 240sx; isnt it usually the other way around? lol

  • how much does a 1991 nissan 240 cost?

  • real men fuck pink lol

  • wow that sounds real nice, the pink is epic too lol

  • hell yea home! Kasukabe

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow it runs beautifully! i thought mine ran good but that thing sounds like a dream.

  • i dont think that still has the KA24 engine in.

i must admit its a pritty poor engine, with not a lot of tuning potential.

i doubt they would have left that in there.

thats turbo sound! SR20 converted ;)

  • like the car u should let me take 4 a test drive

  • KA FTW!!

  • there was a full feature about 3 years ago in sport compact car i think...after i saw that yashio factory did this ive been paying close attention to all of the products and vehicles they produce, simply amazing

  • yashio factory is teh sheit!!

  • すげええ

  • sounds fuckin sexy. ima take mine w/ me to japan

  • omg look at the camber

    siccc

  • nice pink :D

  • can someone tell me what exhaust that is on the ka. cuz it has a nissan/honda sound i guess. i mean it sounds better than a regular dohc engine

  • runs sweeeeeeeet

i think ima tune my girls car to lmao

    put metallic pink lmao

  • THIS IS A 240sx OWNED BY YASHIO FACTORY they built a KA24det

  • Thats a Yashio Factory built 180sx. This video is on their site so, you can hear the tone of their exhuast. If someone told you that this is their car they are bullshitting you..haha.

  • what year is this 240 sx?

  • wow that sounds awsome

  • nice sound dude

  • Love the sound dude, nice car

  • Haha that is a SWEET colour

  • it runs fuckin bveautifull ..i like

  • fucking nice car=P you that own that car most be really prowd=P

  • does it really matter if its a 240 or 180 haha seriously... you already know it has a ka24 now just sit back, relax and watch the vid...

  • Well only 240's had the KA24's. The 180sx's had either CA18's or SR20's. But they are basically same body/Chassis.

  • actually the KA24de was a jdm motor just not stock in the "S" chassis. the KA was in several other JDM cars.

  • hmmm...actually the USDM 240sx was the only car to get a KA manufactured in Japan, all other KA's are manufactured in Mexico and i think China...I know there were other KA series motors in JDM cars but what car had a KA24?

  • 240sx was the only usdm to get the DOHC version, SOHC versions include early 90's hardbody pickups, Stanza, and a couple others.

    Ka24DE = DOHC 155hp 1991-1998

    KA24E = SOHC 135hp 88-96 depending on the model.

  • KA24's.... Hmmm well some other nissan's have KA24's. Like the Nissan pick-up/Frontier, The nissan XTERRA, the Altima. There's a few others.

  • im pretty sure some sentra's had them or n/a sr20's idk but, only 91-93 ka's were made in JAPAN, the rest were all made in mexico. ps i have no clue on the single cam ka

  • nissan hardbody.

  • i know the altima a a FF version of it

  • the 240sx ka's an the altima dohc ka are made in japan, the rest mexico

  • lol thats prolly why the run forever, as long as u dun try to push any more power out of them.

i still dun under stand why any japanese tuner would want our crappy imitation silvia wif its franken swapped nissan hardbody engine tho....

  • some sentras but it was only like 91-92 to have motors manufactured in japan

  • It says the car was imported to Japan or someshit,

LOL we import 180sx, they import 240s?

  • Yes, I suppose some Japanese, like Mr. Yashio in the video here, do occasionally import 240SXs from the US since its engine produces higher torque. However, I presume this is rare. Most prefer the SR20.

  • i would prefer tha Sr20,

but if the ka was new with real low km,

i would probably throw a t3/t4 turbo on it and totally redo it

  • Lol, no it's not.

  • DEBATEABLE TO A VERY HIGH EXTENT.

Me=ka all day. Fuck the sr hype. Granted, i rock rotary but when i get my s13 coupe, it's staying ka!

  • @yokosuberi It's no different than some guys in Japan importing USDM Toyotas like the Tacoma and Tundra and VIPing them out, it's also a status thing.

  • @yokosuberi That's not strange at all, I mean, I've seen everything down in Japan from a Caddy to a Mustang. Rebaging is universal, I'll go out of my way to rebadge my LS400 as a Celsior while they do the total opposite lol!

  • yea thats right it was in a truck lol.

  • Wow people really think thats a 180sx? Ka's give off a different tone then SRs no matter what exhaust is hooked up. Sad people cant tell... Awsome video wish we could see more of it.

  • so is it a sr or ca or ka in australia we dont get the KA mate are the Sr 20s a better engine because they still run it s15

  • haha people are retarted, like tha guy said, its a USDM 240sx with a ka24de not a 200sx with an sr20, plus its ka-t im guessin , i also have a turbo kit for a USDM ka24de for saleeeeeee

  • There was no turbo if you listen.

  • nice fucking car i love the paint can you tell me the code of the paint thanks

  • It's called pink.

  • lol

  • or you're just an idiot and it is a 180sx but in japan... instead of JDM they like to USDM their stuff. so they probably just got a hold of a 240sx garnish n slapped it on there.

  • Wrong. Can you read? Idiots don't read before commentating.

  • I'd ignore these guys and they're idiotic comments, great video, nice car. It has a nice sound to it.

  • Wasnt that in a magazine????

  • sounds nice..

  • i always thought silvias looked better than american version. i wish the silvias werent right hand drive or i would get my hands on one

  • Two things: This is not a Silvia. The 240SX in this video came from America.

  • I just want to add that even if it was from Japan it would still not be a Silvia it would be a 180SX.

  • Yeah, Silvia's are coupes. 180sx's are hatchback. And the Usdm S-chassis are 240sx's.

  • i dont understand why a japanese guy is in japan.. and isnt driving a turbo 180.. but instead a n/a 240

  • Read above. Do some research.

  • This is an American 240SX exported to Japan. The KA24 was not produced for JDM hence why Yashio had to import it.

  • interestingggg uhh so what are the jdm engines called

  • um thats a usdm s13 imported to japan? do the americans only have the ka24de or what

  • man this car is sweet!! what color code is that???

    Thanks!!

  • Its called pink...

  • ca18, sr20, rb20, rb25/26.. hell they are all great swap. The ka has potential, it just wasn't boosted from the factory.

  • That have to be one lucky chix.

  • if u like torque go ka24de-t if u don't, hop on the bandwagon..

  • Don't get me wrong though... If you build KA, it can be just as good - yay torque! People also under rate the CA, I really like it. People think you can't get anyparts out there for them but they are just lazy. Do some research...

  • Well guys I have actually met a lot of guys that spent more money on boosting their KA engines than they would swaping in the SR or CA. Guys that get their KA boosted at our shop like to crank up the boost to Max for some reason without building their bottom end...BOOM!! The SR was made to be turbo, the KA wasn't. If you want a little more power without a build up, go SR or CA "My OPINION"

  • It moved lol... Im so sick of seeing these videos of just people reving up the car and not doing anything else.

  • I agree but in this case its built by Yashio Factory not some lame who just wants to post a vid about there new gay exhaust that everyone has seen already.

  • i would just think its personal preference which engine u choose.....but i do luv the torque curve once the KA are turbo and tuned right....plus i think u would get better props on it being the KA.....since there are alot of shit talkers out there who say KA's are weak and are truck engines....

  • not sure about the pink paint but awesome car man
