  • thanks alot you've been a big help

  • This is Awesome Tutorial :)

  • Very clear, beter than the wikibooks version in this instance, thanks

  • i have a problem- when i make the spin of the curve i see the hat model but some faces are invisible at some angles.

viewing it in wireframe shows that there are faces where they should be and it renders as it should but in the 3D window i see it differently(the faces on the inside of the face are colored and on the outside the hat is invisible-at least most of it).

  • @ObjectingRevolver

Try going into edit mode pressing "a" to select all the "w" to bring up the specialties menu then click on romove doubles.

    Hope that helps!

  • Cool! I didn't know items are that easy to create them!

  • Mr. Krakow you are quick. Thanks for the Format info. I better let you get back to work.

    Thank you very much. Freeborn

  • Thank you Mr. Krakow for answer to my Video editjng software question. I never got the kind of video quality with Windows Movie maker you do.

    Thanks again, Freeborn.

  • @APSDQVNFK You need to publish in Windows Media 720p HD format (1280 x 720). This may not be an option on all WMM versions, but that's the format that Youtube will convert to HD. It needs a 16 x 9 aspect ratio, width to height.

  • aren't there a little bit too much polygons on the hat when you subsurface it?

  • @multimediahelp1 Yes, there are. I could bump up the subsurf levels, but I think a better solution might be a normal map, which will be the subject of a future tutorial.

  • @multimediahelp1 that is why you use subsurface

its to make low poly look like a high poly but you can set it to be low to model and high in the bender

  • Mr. Krakow, excellent Blender tutorials. Blender for me is still difficult.

I would like to know what video editing software you use for your tutorials if you would'nt mind.

    from Freeborn.

  • @APSDQVNFK I use Audacity for the audio, CamStudio for video capture, and Windows Movie Maker to mix the audio and video. All of them are free, WMM comes with windows. I use the Vista version. I also have a video about how to make an HD tutorial. Google Ira Krakow How To Make an HD Video. Hope this helps.

  • The Wikibook tutorials helped me quite a bit, but somewhere towards the middle, they were all more or less incomplete. (As well, some later tutorials began to make assumptions, and I had to blindly figure out what they meant by 'do this obscure action'.) Great tutorial, glad to see your videos again!

  • @MGNSMG Yes, their tutorials are in varying states of completion. There's an icon with some squares that actually tells you. I'm getting back into the swing of Blender tutorials after some months. There will be many more, very soon. I will do tutorials based on just those Wikibook pages that are complete and interesting.

  • first one to se ur video!

  • @marcososa123 Congratulations, Marco!
