Completely hypocritical to say that when you're not doing anything yourselves that benefits the environment. Sunrise meant they would transfer power from a solar plant. Quit lying to the American public and employing racism in your bullshit claims.
This is absolutely a kick! What a great way to tell the absolute truth -- through a great sense of humor! Worth every minute you put into creating it! From an Anza-Borrego desert rat -- your support is so appreciated. Keep up the good work you are doing.
Sorry for the rant, this thing just p^%#$es me off. Consider 1972 , calculator: 100$, today maybe 5$ add in 4x cost of living and its $ 1.25 in 1972 money. Likewise,if solar is 20k today, in 40 years, given r&d, supply and demand, could solar then cost 2-5% of that or 400-1000$ in todays money? --and by then it will also power our cars? Given this, why destroy ANY route for all of time? Think the "energy community" is trying to cash in now?

It doesnt take power TO San Diego, it takes power FROM San Diego and the power plants in TJ TO Arizona , giving SDG&E the market there. They send natural gas to Mexicali and put a long extension cord on it back to San Diego? Balony, even if there were all that renewable energy, it wouldn't come here, its going to AZ. Az should go solar. We buy this for them and give away our land as well. We'er dealing with the new energy maphia.
Well so much for the no wires option--why the bit about other routes. Please tell me you really think any of these routes is an alternative. Do you know how many people go to Cedar Creek Falls every year--you really call that an alternative? You told us you'd protect allll the back country, looks like you sold us out! Wonder who is paying you off?
Change State Law: Require utilities to purchase solar power from residential producers at the lowest tier rate. Sunrise Powerlink is only "feasible" if huge external costs and resource damages are ignored.

That is hypocritical to claim this is environmentally friendly when it desecrates the San Diego back country.
SDG&E has themselves stated that there is no guarantee that the power Sunrise Power Link will transmit will come from "green" sources.
Pretty much a given that they will pump dirty power up from Mexicali.
Noone is buying your polished propaganda videos and your faulty logic.
