I've yet to see a film that really puts me in the shoes of a serial killer. In a funny sort of way I think Devil's Rejects feels like the most genuine. Some say it glorifies murder but I suspect that from the serial killer's perspective, for a while at least, there's a tremendous sense of freedom and self discovery. That is until the police close in on them. I think Devil's Rejects feels like the most authentic serial killer movie.

He murdered 40-100 women in 4 states in the U.S that should make them scared of Bundy or wish him dead and if they wished him dead then they got their wish. I think I'm going to watch this movie. However, they depicted Bundy as being completely insane, when in fact, what made him so frightening is that he was quite normal. He wasn't mentally ill, and he had a good life. That's what made his sick fascination so chilling. He came off as charming and kind, but, in reality, he was a murderer. It was as if he had taken off some mask, and the illusion was broken. Then everyone could see him for what he was...evil.

I've read enough about him and watched enough documentaries to know that Stephanie fucked him up. Rather than killing her he broke her heart when she took him back after two years of working on his new persona.

This movie shows more of the mind of ted bundy, just like they did with the BTK film, also Ted did ask a girl named Stephanie to marry him she denied him. He went to lawschool to show her he wasnt immature. He came back into her life and asked her to marry him again and she said yes, right after he broke up with her. Growing up with feeling that you've been lied to your whole life isnt torture?
The ending made me cry when he died...I did not want him to die. And what was up with him throwing the rocks and raising his hands as if he was saying "this is It?" what did he really meant when he raised his arms?
I found it pretty interesting. I have ordered The Only Living Witness off Amazon so i'm looking forward to that. I have also read Confessions of a Serial Killer. That's pretty good. I just wish Bundy had admitted to the murders in the books, instead of using the third person. At least Dahmer and Gacy had the gall to admit to what they had done. Even though Gacy had no remorse whatsoever, and i'm pretty sure if Bundy had never been caught, he would've carried on killing.
I got the film today and watched it. And i realised that besides the fact that it is incredibly gory, (which i like), the film does have some pinpoints to Bundy's life. But the times are all screwed up. The other film Ted Bundy with Michael Burke is a lot more accurate. I also have that.
Yeah I agree - its actually quite weak compared to previous Bundy film. No real depth to his character. It could have been alot better, although I think the courtroom scenes were quite good - he captured Ted's mannerisms etc. But Michael Burke is alot better at playing him.
Yeah the court scenes were good. In Bundy's trials i read somewhere that he specifically questioned the sorority house detective about all the details, because he wanted to "relive" the experiance of what he did through his mind again. Pretty creepy. But when it showed the images of what he did to the 2 girls, the second one was god awful to look at.
Yeah its pretty sick really. If your interested you should read 'The Only Living Witness' if you haven't already, its the best book on Bundy, very detailed - leaves nothing out. Thats when you find alot of inaccuracies in the movies.
Ok thanks i'll check it out. I've read A Stranger Beside Me by Bundy's friend Ann Rule. That's a very informative book too if you've not read it. But cheers i'll check that other book out.

This movie shows more of the mind of ted bundy, just like they did with the BTK film, also Ted did ask a girl named Stephanie to marry him she denied him. He went to lawschool to show her he wasnt immature. He came back into her life and asked her to marry him again and she said yes, right after he broke up with her. Growing up with feeling that you've been lied to your whole life isnt torture?

The ending made me cry when he died...I did not want him to die. And what was up with him throwing the rocks and raising his hands as if he was saying "this is It?" what did he really meant when he raised his arms?

I found it pretty interesting. I have ordered The Only Living Witness off Amazon so i'm looking forward to that. I have also read Confessions of a Serial Killer. That's pretty good. I just wish Bundy had admitted to the murders in the books, instead of using the third person. At least Dahmer and Gacy had the gall to admit to what they had done. Even though Gacy had no remorse whatsoever, and i'm pretty sure if Bundy had never been caught, he would've carried on killing.

I got the film today and watched it. And i realised that besides the fact that it is incredibly gory, (which i like), the film does have some pinpoints to Bundy's life. But the times are all screwed up. The other film Ted Bundy with Michael Burke is a lot more accurate. I also have that.

Yeah I agree - its actually quite weak compared to previous Bundy film. No real depth to his character. It could have been alot better, although I think the courtroom scenes were quite good - he captured Ted's mannerisms etc. But Michael Burke is alot better at playing him.

Yeah the court scenes were good. In Bundy's trials i read somewhere that he specifically questioned the sorority house detective about all the details, because he wanted to "relive" the experiance of what he did through his mind again. Pretty creepy. But when it showed the images of what he did to the 2 girls, the second one was god awful to look at.

Yeah its pretty sick really. If your interested you should read 'The Only Living Witness' if you haven't already, its the best book on Bundy, very detailed - leaves nothing out. Thats when you find alot of inaccuracies in the movies.

I thought it was a half and half of horror sensationalism and a decent serial killer portrayal.
When it comes to learning about serial killers I prefer reading. I thought it was a decent movie for the sake of entertainment.
