The old songs are not as good with him and fyi RIPPER destroys any vocalict IE has ever had in every way. I agree with you on that last sentence though, I liked them much more as a thrash band. John Greely is my favorite Iced Earth singer but I accept Matt is much better than him.

The first reason is because overrated implies that they are very famous and are thought of as better than they actually are and Iced Earth are neither. They are barely known throughout the mainstream metal world and deserve more respect and they are an incredible band worthy of recognition as such.

Angel's Holocaust is a great song that both singers do great. but on a similar but different point, Ripper sux at most IE songs other than his and genes he could sorta do. but all around Matt is by far the best for IE for covering the whole catalog. i watched him do a very respectable job on 10,000 strong, better than any version on here for sure.
