I did hear a few years ago that a girl got her feet cut off on some ride, but it was a ride at Six Flags in Kentucky, not this one.

I believe the ride was a free-fall. I remember it on the news because there is an exact same ride at Kennywood Park called the Pitt Fall.

No, nobody's legs got cut off or fell from this ride. The reason the park is closing the attraction for this season is due to excessive down time and mechanical failures from the past. Basically, more headache to operate than it's worth. I'll be out the Monday to see what's going on with it, but so far, no mention of it being removed for good.

@kac65 Dollywood announced that Timber Tower is closed for the 2001 season & that they "are currently in contractual reviews concerning the ride manufacturer Huss”, but we haven't had confirmation that it has been dismantled.

Great ride, awesome theming... and as fast as it looks its really not nauseating at all! Can't wait for Dollywoods new ride Barnstormer in 2011!!

ppl lie...usally to get attention...stuff like deaths, money, or braggin rights are what people lie about...now I choose not to lie...why? Because its owrthless and it dosent make you look better it makes you look like your deperate for attention alot and its embarresing even if you dont know it.

But no one has ever got anything other then a full bladder or a bad sunburn by this ride breaking down...I was lucky to ride it and it not breakign down :D!
