I think we are all guilty of wanting to "figure people out" so that we can categorize them and know how to deal with them for our own advantages.It is like we do this to make our relationships with others EASIER FOR US instead of an opportunity to get to know other people in more depth. We are not truth seekers, but rather comfort seekers. We forget that circumstances and life experiences and basically who a person deals with at any given time will change how he/she deals with them..

It sounds like you're assuming a lot out of your interactions with people. I don't think you actually ask them what they think, you just tell them. It's unhealthy to assume the worst of people all the time. When I say "wow you've changed" to an old friend, I literally mean, wow you've changed. My happiness isn't wrapped up in that one person to stay the same and if they thought that of me, I'd wonder how self important they must feel.

Or you could tell that specific person this, and then make sure they understand your side of the story. Like you said, people change and are constantly growing, so they need to learn this as well because they are growing too. You don't need to rid them from your life because of it. I totally know what you mean. I haven't seen a few friends in years and I recently offered one of them a job. And when I was friends with them I was just...depressed and not happy. Never smiled and hated people.
Well, now, 6 or 7 years later, I helped one of them get a job at a resturant I work at. And they can't believe that I'ma waitress and love my job! She always stares at me weird when I'm laughing and talking to people. WTF!? Oh well...

@DEUHDCEwh The sound of a person's voice doesn't relate to their sex. Most of the time yes women have a higher pitched voice then men and, men have deeper voices then women but, not always. Example, Michael Jackson has a high pitched voice. Please don't take this the wrong way I'm just being factual.
