Thanks... I have never visited Linz, but some day I hope to. It looks like a beautiful area and very interesting airport right on the water. Take care - Morgan
Thanks so much. I to plan to travel to Germany and France within the next two years... I would love to visit Linz as well... About the scenery, I used software called "FSEarthtiles" (satellite imagery) and added buildings and ships using another software called "Whisplacer". Both of these software titles are freeware. -Take Care, Morgan
Thanks, but I am not yet a real pilot... I still dream of it though. In the case of this video, I spent a lot of hours practicing formation flying... and in the final cut of the video you only see the good bits, not the crashes :)
@penneyfour Yeah I've spent a lot of time practicing in extras and the tucano but still cant get things right. I'll post a video of some stuff i've done soon
I just sat down with a cup of coffee and watched your latest three times in a row. As always, the images and soundtrack are delightful. This one, in particular, captures the HAPPINESS of flying.
Thanks so much. Believe it or not, I have already moved on from Linz, Austria over to Mont Royal Airport (along the Mosel) in Germany and have just finished up another short view of the picturesque and difficult approach. Mont Royal is quite possibly my favorite so far... I think real pilots compare it to landing on an aircraft carrier. Anyway, take care. - Morgan
I'm following you since "Molokai", which is for me your best video. But all your videos are amazing. I've tried TileProxy for a while but I never could achieve such impressive results.
I leave in Vienna. I know Linz, and I could recognize some areas, the TOP of all feelings when you "fly" a simulator is to be able to say:" hey! look that is my house down there ;)". The quality of your video and settings gave me this feeling.
Thank you so much for the warm comments. Well, TileProxy performs differently depending upon hardware, connection to the Internet, etc. Also, I have had varying results with the same machine over time.
I am glad you enjoyed the scenery in this video. I would love to visit Linz. I am thinking of taking a trip to Austria, Germany, France, etc. in the next year or so. There are very specific places I would like to visit, and this is very high on my list. Thanks again. - Morgan
@penneyfour Thank you very much, i would love to fly here and do a video, you should make it available on avsim, alot of people would enjoy your talent :)
I still "fly" with TileProxy all the time. Without a doubt, TileProxy is my choice of software to bring realism, spontaneity, and a credible VFR experience to FSX and FS2004. Without TileProxy I would likely hang up flight sims altogether. FSEarthtiles is a solution that I have recently used to insert small but detailed sceneries while developing an airport or specific scenery filled with objects using the freeware called Whisplacer. By no means have I given up on TileProxy. :)
that really looks like our aiport :)
very nice :)
