I remember on the news some minister of whatever saying that Graffiti is not an art, it is vandalism. I also saw on the documentary "Style Wars" that the police who viewed Graffiti as vandalism only referred to a handstyle which in my opinion was poorly made. It just goes to show how biased the authorities can get with things. I believe Graffiti is an Art and not a crime. Especially the very detailed pieces you see around.

Can i just say that even though that i dont love the tagging form of graffiti, the only way to rise to the top in the graffiti world is that you hav to get your name up...wats the quickest way of doin that?.. Tagging and once you have got your name up and respected enough you can do things such as commission art. I live in Melbourne and yes i graff and yes i tag but really, only the new laws are forcing me but i still want to get my name up so i can do comission art. This is just my opinion tho.
