5:48 what movie is this?!?! I'm dying here....I searched all the comments but couldn't find it. it's the scene with the girl with white hair and she's walking away from an explosion with other people. It's after the car blowing up and before all the people sitting around the table
Matt you are a freakin animal on that non-linear system. Nice work man! There's so much material out there and and you accomplished putting it into a new order. Enjoy your future edits!
please answer this! whats the name of the move where u have the video of the kid looking up at the sky and when he has those glasses on that makes his eyes look really big?
One of my favourite youtube videos ever. So inspiring dude-- the choice of sound bites, music, and images coalesce to perfection. This is everything I love about movies.
Boy, have you outdone yourself this year! There's not enough space here to point out all the things I love, so I'll just go with my favorite part: the beginning. You start with the film reels and the Hollywood signs, then move to the wide, landscape shots. Next you shift the focus to people, with lots of up-close shots of hands and feet, then medium shots, but you keep the face obscured. Finally, we get the big reveal with the montage of close-ups. Dynamite song choice, by the way.
This piece is so exquisite. I can only imagine how many hours this took to compile. Everything matches so beautifully! The jump sequence is my favorite. Brilliance! The sound design is so well done. The entire thing moved me and gave me chills. Reminded me why I love storytelling. Thank you so much!
Matt, please make small line with recent frame movie name somewhere on the screen! It'll be very helpful. Not with youtube captions and subtitles, just in every frame of source video. Im not asking to rework, just add this to your next projects. Also year 2012 will give us ALOT of good and epic movies, maybe you should make more Cinescapes? At least three?
@egouniverse Larry Crowne at 1:17 when Tom Hanks says "Why would you think that?" and a soundbyte from Jane Eyre at 3:16 when a voice says "Do you know where the wicked go after death?"
@filmlover1988 Larry Crowne - got it. Jane Eyre - so it's the sound that's been used, not image, got it. Thanks, pal! And did you see or hear anything from "The Other Woman"?
Beautiful as always Matt :) I especially love the use of audio clips and how it turned all techno at the end. That was a clever touch. Keep making these amazing films!
Guys could you help figure out these? A million thanks: 0:24 - refractometer 0:25 - pushing PLAY button 0:26 - flash bulb 0:27 - HOLLYWOOD symbol 0:28 - 101 HOLLYWOOD sign 0:31 - stars 0:37 - bed sheet rolling 1:41 - brunette in roseate dress 1:59 - blond guy dancing 3:21 - man covering the camera 4:23 - armored guys walking out 4:56 - man dodging dagger 4:58 - explosion on boat 5:38 - black man and woman hug 5:43 - black kid tapping mouth 5:46 - car sparkle 6:08 - man using a camera
2:25 - a close-up of a man kissing a woman, in missionary posture 2:27 - a white guy proposing 2:42 - a man kisses a woman and people around them applause 2:43 - a couple arguing in kitchen 3:17 - a guy in sunglasses coming over 3:20 - twisted reflection of a man walking at night 3:21 - a man covering the camera 4:23 - armored guys walking out door 4:56 - wet-haired man dodging a knife thrust 4:58 - explosion on a boat 5:38 - black man hugs black woman 5:40 - two men cheering still got some...
Can anybody help identify the following scenes? 0:24 - the refractometer 0:25 - pushing the PLAY button 0:26 - flash bulb 0:27 - the HOLLYWOOD symbol 0:28 - the 101 HOLLYWOOD sign 0:31 - stars 0:36 - No.10 door 0:37 - rolling the bed sheet 0:48 - a girl walking to front stage 1:12 - a women in blue dress running and bumping into passengers 1:41 - a brunette in roseate dress 1:59 - a blond guy dancing 2:23 - a woman taking off her shirt and kiss a man there's more...
You put a hell of a lot of work into this and I'm very impressed. The producers for the 2011 oscars will likely spend a million dollars on some sort of year-in-review bit, and it won't be as good as this.
