What model Necchi do you have? I'm only familiar with the metal vintage models. I suggest you join the Necchi group(s) on Yahoo. There is a wealth of knowledge there that's sure to help with your question.
Question: on the back of my Necchi there is an ajdustment knob that turns. It has an arrow to the right and to the left with a + and a - incicator. It makes only one full turn total either way. Have no idea whqt it adjusts, I have run the machine with , I believe, every other setting while the machine is running and have not detected where it does anything to any other part of the machine.
