  • i am a massage therapist, and PNF stretching is actually very highly regarded in the medical and massage community...it works very well and is low impact to hard stretching which tears the ligaments, tendons, and fascia of the muscles.

  • The first part works better with double pairs, back to back. That way you prevent sliding backwards during the resistance part. A wall might also work with a rope/belt to pull the partner forward...

  • i looveeee these streches, they are great. im more flexi than that person though! lol i should feel proud, i can get my forehead touching the floor!

  • Normally you do this sort of isometrics on the ground with horse stance gradually resisting, but doing it this way seems safer, if you have a partner to help. This way you don't need as much force, and it's safer to let go (normally your hands take weight off feet).
