  • THEY ARE ENSLAVING US

  • Woooo full metal alchemist all the way!!

  • I don't know whats worse: Getting a boner in your sleep when you watch this.

Sawing of your leg just to get one.

  • Deus Ex : Human Revolution. In real life. Oh god...Developers don't know that the technology goes so fast :D

  • @Suldo3 Sarif Industries actually sent me here, just go to their website!

  • Comment removed

  • i've got my type of bionic leg but use a power source that is will last as long a he/she is alive pluse more features

  • In the future, I'm sure that Victhom Human Bionics could make silicone coverings for prosthetic limbs that make it look like the real thing!

  • Thats all swell but....lets fucking cure cancer so people wont lose their fucking legs!

  • @SkInHoUnD I'd say we work hard both on finding a cure for cancer (or cures, since there are many different types of cancers) and prosthetics, since we don't know how long it will take until we find one. If prosthetics becomes advanced enough, then perhaps people will not care that much if they have to amputate a limb.

  • @SkInHoUnD wow are you dumb how many people have lost their legs to cancer? Like 5?

  • There's no Canada like french Canada it's the best Canada in the land and the other Canada is a bullshit Canada if you lived her for a day you'd understand!

  • His French is horrible.

  • Also, this is totally h+

  • Hearing a mechanical sound while someone is walking towards you seems kind of scary. lol

  • fragile though :x i kinda like having my titanium ones, good fun

  • when he climb the stairs @ 3:38, there is an obvious mechanical sound. people will be looking n pointing fingers...

  • i wonder if its works by connecting to the nerves of the leg... for it to work.

  • @michiskawa I believe you wear an ankle brace transmitter and pressure plate on the real leg. Then the roboleg moves in accordance with the stride.

  • thumbs up if Sarif Industries brought you here

  • @dexterdexter747 that website is really cool isn't it

  • Welcome to the Human Revolution!

  • As soon as it's available, I'm getting my legs chopped off and redone with super-cyber-legs. B)

  • I LIKES :)

Don't you wish government spent $680Billion on these PHDs instead of Pentagon? One makes life other makes death.

  • the best bionics actually connect your nerves so you can feel the limb, actual feeling. like heat and pressure. the best bionics also act independently, with no CPU leaving more space for motor and battery. the only CPU needed is your brain, and they are really strong, but this stuff is cool to

  • this is so fucking cool.

  • THI IS SO FUCKING AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • "c'mon dude, keep up" .... "sorry bro , i'm lagging... damn this vista"

  • I wish I could have one or invent one for my brother who is disabled? He is half paralysed due to his Spinal Cord desformity and is suffering from his bed sores caused by seating down too long. I would love to develop a robotic type brace where he could just wear it for him to develop his muscles and stand at the same time. I robotic type for disabled people.

  • It still gives of that sound =/

  • @SirGreenGrim so a legless man can walk as if he had his leg

  • @1jtwallace1 I know and this is awesome, just the sound would turn me insane if I kept hearing it

  • @SirGreenGrim u do have a point tho

  • There was guy in my school with a bionic leg, except that it was a lot skinner with exposed wires and had a navy color into it. I always wonder how the world would be like withing the next 100 years.

  • @dinmagic Current expert projections involve growing and reattaching body parts vs. man-machine interfaces, like this one here but controlled more by the nerves/brains. What I think is that some people will want a real partand others want a mechanical one because it gives you an advantage, either in work or war. When we can grow human parts and attach them easily, there will be people who voluntarily freeze their limbs to that they can use a more powerful one. I can definately see that.

  • @rasmasyean "voluntarily freeze their limbs to that they can use a more powerful one" man i cant imagine doing that to my self, tho you are right. Either way, I don't think people would be allowed to do that if such technology exist, as the mechanical limbs should only be available to those who need it.

  • @apriswajaya Yeah, you'd think. If you can afford it, someone will do it. Even a robot breast implant! Imagine that!

  • @rasmasyean how much would you think it would cost?

  • @apriswajaya

Though how could they prove you volunteerely crushed your arm with a car and that it wasn't an accident?

  • @dinmagic You mean 10 right?

  • unless you are an amputee what do you really know

  • awesome!!!

  • Woah, I commented this in the middle of it. I saw the stairs part and im mega jelous D: I walk so awkwardly with mine D:

  • I wish I had one. Mine is just a non brain workin one. I would kill for it to be bionic.

  • is soooo awesome!!

  • i cant tell its bionic it looks so normal

  • Happy for only 4 hours

  • cool...... but can he run????

  • There is another attachement made by some other firm for running. It's not electronic, but I think it's like a carbon fiber spring thing, and a double amputee was rejected from competing against legged runners because the machine gave him an "unfair advantage".

  • lol

  • @saulithian good question BUT CAN HE DANCE

  • i suddenly want to watch Ghost in the Shell

  • Vive le Québec

  • thats fucking cool man!!!

  • This brought tears to my eyes. Good on all those researchers. 5 stars and more.

  • so is the leg getting better at walking as it goes?

  • Automail fans unite!

  • YEA!!!

  • AUTOMAILS FTW

  • @7notsolucky Wheres Edward? D:

  • @7notsolucky full metal alchemist!!! :DDDDD

  • They've been working on this project for a long time, before I was even born. The human body. isn't easy to replicate is it.

  • thts amazing

  • to agolosha:

you should read the novel "limbo" by bernard wolfe... that's exactly the plot...

  • A "novel" eh? Screw that. Google "Kevin Warwick" for the real thing in the works! Professor of Cybernetics at the University of Reading. This guy does experiments on himself to control machines with implants and stuff.

  • is that commercial now???

    i want one!!

    (cuz im an amputee)

  • could they be any more ugly

  • one day prosthetic limbs will be as light as a normal arm, and as sensitive as your tips of each finger. And about the question asked before, will people use em for besten life quality, maybe; due to the high risk on almost anything with radiation or any other energy prosthetic limbs will be the right choice and maybe for some other kind, a chance to outlive your self for about 50 years or more. extremities, organs bones, anything can be replaced, redesigned for our use its just a matter of time

  • One thing that I think would be problem is finding a suitable powersource for the limbs to provide the strength of their real counterparts. At the moment they are battrey operated, ie you have to charge them now and again, which can become a bit tidious.

  • I don't think anyone would really mind having to carry a spare around if they can walk normally.

  • Well...some athletic prosthetics have gained controversy because some people believe they give the amputee and "unfair advantage" versus able-bodied athletes.

Google this: "Amputee runner may qualify for Olympics, but be denied chance to compete"

Man vs. Machine...the age old debate!

  • @rasmasyean

So let's let the doped runners compete with the artificial leg runners to keep it interesting...

  • omg automail fma fans rejoice u can now replace ur arm and leg with fakes haha

  • Draw-backs:

More expensive than a small house

No insurance company will pay for it

It may be powered but it's still damned heavy

If I'm out on a date I wonder what he's going to think when we start climbing stairs and my leg goes zzt-zzt! zzt-zzt! zzt-zzt! It's not exactly the quietest thing in the world now is it?

It's also bulky. As it is, it's already thicker than my leg, never mind getting a cosmetic cover over it. Works fine for the blokes, but not so hot for us ladies.

  • We have to hold out a bit longer. Don't worry we'll get there. Remember those portable cell-phones like a foot long or something... ;)
