  • 2011- Animal Kingdom

  • 2011 - ArchArchArch

  • 1971 CAÑONERO II, thx for this video

  • @horsesaremylife31899 , Mine That Bird's name is a combination of his parents' names. His sire is Birdstone, and his dam is Mining My Own.

  • 2011 - My guess is either Uncle Mo or Boys At Tosconova.. :]

  • what does DA mean

  • Hope the 2011 field is better. The 2009 and 2010 fields stunk so bad they reeked.

  • do you know where i can download the song for free??

  • makiby diva for 2008 she was awesome she is still alive with healthy foals

  • barbaro was 1 of my favourite runners

  • 2009 - Mine That Bird

    2010 - Super Saver

  • @BebitBarrelRacer How does the name Mine That Bird even make sense ?

  • @horsesaremylife31899 Well, its hard to say. most racehorses are named after their parents, for example: a horses mom's name is shining, and its dad is brave knight, the horse could be called Bold Bright Night. That name doesnt make a lot of sense, but if the horses parents are well known, someone might be able to guess who that horse's parents are just by its name. Hope that answers it :D

  • @BebitBarrelRacer and didn't Zenyatta win ?

  • @horsesaremylife31899 Zenyatta is Awesome but was never entered in the Kentucky Derby. Rachel Alexandra also was not entered in the K Derby but won the 2009 Preakness stakes.

  • @horsesaremylife31899 Zenyatta won the breeder's cup, which is a very famous race. Mine that bird won the kentucky derby, which is different but also a famous race.

  • @BebitBarrelRacer Zenyatta is totally awesome. The Kentucky Derby is a HUGE HUGE race because the horse that wins the Kentucky Derby is the only horse that year that can have a chance to win the Triple Crown... The Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes. The last triple crown winner was Affirmed in 1978.

  • @dasdanarthur that is very true. Did you know that Breyer (a really awesome model horse company) has made a Zenyatta model? I REALLY want to get her!!!! Although, she looks a lot like the Ruffian model, which I already have.

  • Actually, I'm not sure who that is in the picture. Forward Pass was listed as post position #12 and Dancer's Image #13. The horse in the pic is #10.

  • Nice job with the montage, but the photo of the 1968 winner is actually of Dancer's Image, who won the race and then was disqualified. Forward Pass was a dark bay, I believe, who ran under #13. He was declared the winner later. Dancer's Image was the gray in the picture.

  • @Between3and25 Actually, I'm not sure who that is in the picture. Forward Pass was listed as post position #12 and Dancer's Image #13. The horse in the pic is #10.

  • Greatest horse of all time...and still has the greatest Kentucky time on record...The Superhorse...Secretariat.

  • I love this! Honestly this stud im looking at to breed to my mare is a great grandson of Secretariat and RIP Barbaro!

  • wow, this is amazing! i love it! 5/5 stars, and favorite! :)

  • I agree with horses4ever8, Rest In Peace Barbaro.

  • GO BARBARO!

    may you rest in heaven

  • Mine That Bird is the winner of the 2009 Kentucky Derby. I'm stating this after the fact. I did not expect that horse to win...Great video!!! Very entertaining!!!!

  • Thanks you!!

  • Great Job!!

Cual es el nombre de la canción??, me gusta.

What is the song's name?? I like it!!!

  • So sad how racing has taken a backseat to these other, childish sports. Men playing with their balls..thats how i see basketball, football (Hate it with vengance), baseball (only slightly less despised)

Anyway what I originally wanted to say was Sports Ilustrated hasn't had a Kentucky Derby (or Preakness, Belmont, or Breeder's Cup) cover in a really really long time and I HATE those other sports because if it.

  • I agree w/you, except for basebal. Horseracing has caused it's own problems, starting after Secretariat winning TC after 25 yrs. My thinking is that we were in age of commodifying everything (irrational capitalism) to the extent that to make a blessed BUCK, horseracing was willing to endanger the thoroughbred by breeding for speed only, not strength/stamina w/horses snapping legs like toothpicks. More muscle, less bone an outrage. Internat'l ownership drove this and drained U.S. of bloodlines.

  • Yes breeders hold the key to strengthening the breed

  • lol u better watch his race on saterday

  • Lol....Burkiegirl15....I think it is true tho!

I wil see you at school on Monday Burkiegirl15

    Lol:):)

  • ill tell u who will win the derby barbaro's baby brother!
